Interesting topic.

Back then in primary school, I joined a new school in primary 3 and one day we were given a classwork after being taught the topic in Mathematics 'Roman Numerals' for about a couple days.
Now I particularly found this topic quite easy so I didn't expect to score anything less than perfect.

So you can imagine my surprise when I received my notebook only to see I missed a question, which was to write the Roman numerals for the number '8'.
I was even more surprised when I saw that I actually got it correctly, but was marked wrong for it.
8 in Roman Numerals is VIII.
As a good pupil would, I went back to the class teacher and told her 'Aunty, I got number 8 but I was marked wrong', only for her to accuse me of adding an additional 'I' to what was there initially.
I said I didn't, but she instead decided to flog me for cheating up until I admitted that I did, just to escape the flogging.
I never understood why she would think I would cheat. In a classwork.

Well I eventually ended up becoming the best pupil that term, throughout that year, setting several records and winning several prizes till I left the school in primary 6.

Aunty Uche, may God forgive you ooo cry

I was accused wrongly and sacked me of my Job last year October and they later wrote letter to me that it is not me again but they right to terminate my appointment with or without crime. Now, I have no job after I have worked with them for more than Ten years. I have three children and I'm now in confused mode.

Similar things happened to me, this is even in the church, someone lied to me that he gave me 35k to same himself from some kind of shame. That was sometimes around last year, I still feel the pain as I am typing. Anytime I saw the guy in the church, my mind will just do a quick flash back to that scenario. I believe I have forgiven him but I find it difficult to forget that issue

This is not a good story. Beside both your neighbor and your room mate are heartless.
My sister. I cried in those days I spent in the cell. My prayer after the case was for God to expose the real culprit. I couldn't believe it was years after I'd forgotten bout the whole incident that my roommate would confess to stealing it. Ever since then, I've had this feeling bout her. I wish she never confessed. I'm more tortured now than when the incident even occurred.

I remember during my 200l days, I was accused of stealing my neighbor's phone. All suspicions traced to me as i was the last person to touch the phone. He didn't take it lightly. He had me arrested. The phone then was one cheap kpalasa like that. (Flip up- Bird). That's the first time ever I would sleep in a cell. I was disappointed in my parents having to find out so I didn't inform them on time. After 5days, I had no choice than to tell my roommate to inform my parents. My father didn't even show up. Only my mom did. She swore heaven and earth that her child would never engage in such act. Eventually, the case ended after my mom bought my neighbor a new phone and all that.

10 years later, my roommate confessed to stealing the phone, my money and several foodstuffs. I just weak.

Did you say 10 years later?!! shocked shocked

How did you take it? Did she apologize over the phone or in person?

I'm annoyed right now. How was she able to sleep knowing she was the reason you were in a cell! cry

The incident happened about 15 years ago but she confessed about 5years ago and I'm yet to recover from the shock. After we left school, I was innocently nicer to her as we've been through school times. When I relocated to abuja, I invited her to hustle with me so that she could get a job but she couldn't. When I equally got a bank job and relocated to minna, I invited her as well and she joined me but she couldn't get a good job. She eventually had to relocate to her state of origin and confessed to me years later of her crimes over on the phone. In fact, I wish she never did. I wish she took her crimes to her grave in secret. Ever since she confessed about 5 years ago, she's tried to converse or ask for money but I have continued to subtly decline every of her request. I can't seem to get over it. Lord help me!

Hello everyone.

Something happened yesterday and up till now I'm still boiling from inside .

Okay, here is what happened. I set out around noon yesterday to get a new phone at Ikeja. While I was about to board a bus to Oshodi where I'd connect with a bus to Ikeja, I saw a glo Sim registration booth. I asked one of the reps when they'd leave, and she said 6 pm. I promised to be back before then to get one. On my way back, around past 5, I went there and started the process. I was told to buy airtime immediately in order for the Sim card to work, which I obliged, and told them I'd buy #200 worth.

Immediately I collected my pack, I gave another lady who works with them and sells airtime #200. She collected my card, put it in her phone, loaded it and handed my Sim back to me. I thanked her and was about to leave when she stopped me and asked that I pay her for the recharge card. When I told her I had paid already, she erupted like a volcano. She began to raise her voice that passers-by stopped and began to watch us, she called me all sorts of names, 'Thief' being the most subtle of them. Her stance when I dared leave, and leave her to her ramblings, was that of a woman who would hold a man's collar and decorate his face with prints from hot slaps. She maintained I would not leave until I pay her, despite the fact that her colleagues asked me to go. I was so embarrassed. #200 was and is not my problem, I just didn't want to san'wo omo go. Last last I had to give her another #200 before she quieted down and allowed me to leave.

Later in the evening, when I got home I put the Sim in my phone, and the first call I got was from the said lady's colleague calling me to apologise on her behalf. She said immediately I left, she saw the money and she's ashamed of herself and couldn't bring herself to calling me and telling me herself, that's she's indeed sorry... Blah! Blah!! Blah!!!

She said I should come back on Monday to get the money. I told her I don't need the money again.

As I'm typing this, I'm so angry... Even with the apology and the offer to get my money back, I still feel cheated. Some of the people who witnessed our little drama would definitely not be there when she found the money. To them I might as well be what she painted me to be.

How did I do? Was I right to turn down the reimbursement? How should I have reacted? If you were in my shoes how would you have reacted?
d only revenge here is to fvck her. colet her num frm her colleague, act as all is good. tel her u wil like to date her dat u like women who are brave as she is. brainwash her, fvck her and send us nudes.

You can do two things...
1. Document all the conversations, have witness or witnesses, go to a nearby police station and get her arrested, they will eventually released her but let write an apology letter because you dont know who could have recorded the scene etc.
2. You can go to the place and talk to her, advice her, tell her the implications of what she did, imagine you are a diabolical person or you are the person in the number 1 above.
3. Forgive her and move on, you have no idea what that simple delay must have saved you from , God works in mysterious ways.
4 . I will suggest you take the 3 and move on.

Damn!!!

She definitely couldn't have had the confidence to confess and apologize, in person.

I'm very sure she will reap the consequences of her action, thats if she hasn't started facing them already but from what you said i'm sure she has.

I've never been in a cell and i'm boiling right now, trying to imagine how you feel right now. embarassed

I know it's not easy but please, just try to forgive her not for her sake but for your own good. You are a really strong lady and God will surely compensate you for whatever youve lost and grant you peace to forget the incident kiss kiss

This goes to emphasize the saying: often times its those closest to us that are against us!

Why would she ask you to come back to collect #200 when she could just recharge your phone with the amount?

She only confessed because she thought karma is the reason she's not excelling in her career. She knows she has wronged your chi, hence your spirit is fighting on your behalf.
She thinks she has sold her destiny to you, all for a bowl of porridge/useless phone she stole.
At least, you know the truth. It's just sad that others around you at that time may never get to find out the truth

There's nothing as embarrassing as being called a thief. Will never forget the day I was wrongly accused of stealing in secondary school years ago. Just because the 2 friends I had then stole stuffs they just decided to include me,even though they searched my locker and found nothing. Guess what I was told"a friend of a thief is a thief" The seniors that year ehn!!! Beat me until they dislocated my hand, worst of all none of those girls were affected as I was. I had to change my school because of that embarrassment. The thing no funny sha, come be say na command school again, you will wish you were never born.

After almost successfully Finishing My Exams, I was Trying To Give Someone A Hint Like Calling The Number Then The Alphabet To Shade For That Number I was Caught And Asked To Submit My Paper Ooh... I didn't even Care At First Cause I ve Already Rounded up My Own Work...

The Lecturer Collecting My OMR Form Found Out It was Two, Security Was Immediately Called Oh, I was Like Sir It was A Mistake, I didn't Know It wasTwo, Another Lecturer Just Came and Concluded That I Was With The UnUsed One In the Hall while Someone Collected The One I shaded and Did It From Me Outside..

Before I Could Say Jack, Malpractice Form Was Before Me, I begged, Them Say I just dey waste My Time, My Education In the University was Ending Before It even Started Fa, All My Coursemates Just Came Thru For Me, That The place I am sitting it's Not Possible I will give someone Something Outside, For Like 2 Hours Exams Don Finish We Still dey Beg... Itwas Just The Grace Of God That I didn't Get Rusticated For A Malpractice I didn't Commit...

Since Then, Local Man No Wan Hear Story Ooh, I go Check and Recheck both OMR and Essay Forms Before Answering My Questions

Holuwahphemy:

Bro, I've seen worse things from these women/ladies. I had developed a tough/thick skin 4 their dramas. At tyms some guys would say just take it as a man n go. Other tyms some guys(colleagues) n ladies(friends) will side them even when I'm not guilty or being lied against.

A similar thing to yours happened to me. I didn't argue too much with the lady in question cos it could hv cause an embarrassing scene. I was ready to pay again when she realized I had already paid. I dunno if it's my calmness that worked or her conscience.

Don't feel bad just move on like I always do. Put it behind you and forget the money.

Yes. This happened recently at my former workplace.
Money went missing and after hours of looking for it and so, they decided to ask in a spiritual way(which i was unaware of) when the result came out they claim it was one of my colleague and I wasn't so concerned anymore and went home from work.

The next day I was on afternoon shift and one of my colleague call came in and said the herbalist said it was seun the herbalist said and not segun and I replied "so, why did you call me? " and he said the herbalist meant me, my own seun then I hung up and went to sleep.

When I got to work, all of then were giving me a stupid look. I made sure i gave all of them fire. I told her "If you can accuse me of stealing without evidence, then i don't even believe you are looking for any money in the first place."F*ck you and f*ck your fake herbalist.

I later found out that when my colleague called he put the phone on speaker so they can all hear my reply as he was the closest to me..... Expecting some sort of confession. I swear for all of them.
