Not impossible, but I strongly believe that was a one way ticket. Remember, that person is on an F1 visa, a student invariably, and is allowed to get such ticket....

There are very cheap tickets if you have the right agent. Also book on time too

Yeah, I understand the kind of ticket you are describing. I got one from Delta in 2013, for less than a 100k then. Tickets were selling for late two hundreds and 300k+ at the time. You must use it, or you forfeit it!

And such ticket fare rules will allow date change at a fee

Don't bother applying if you have no genuine reason to visit U.S, use that money to visit another country.

1k for 7 days won't fly but you can have your card.I think 2k should be fine including accommodation.

thanks boss for the reply.
I’ve got Airbnb accommodation sorted out already($200 for 7days)..
The place has a kitchen where i can cook my own food so i intend to go with some spaghetti and macaroni to reduce food cost

$1k for 7 days is okay if your destination in U.S is not New York, Boston and Philadelphia.

The Uber/Lyft cost from a AirBnB @ 30USD/day to and fro town will be mad.

And TX roads are WIDE and FARd. Please it's not like NY that you can walk

General rule of travelling always carry at least double of your transport cost in cash/readily available money.
He can get a week worth of bus pass that may help, but that don't make no sense on a business trip would rather get a rental car for about 230 a week

How much do you usually carry on your trips to the U.S.?
