Protesters trooped to the streets of Owerri, Imo state capital, on Sunday to  kick against the verdict of the supreme court which led to the removal of Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo.

The apex court had on Tuesday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to return Hope Uzodinma, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the election.

Uzodinma placed a distant fourth in the results announced by INEC. But the apex court declared him winner based on the APC candidate’s claim that his votes across 388 polling units were annulled.

The judgement sparked different reactions. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has threatened to carry out a protest in Abuja on Monday.

but its too late, protests can change nothing. when bubu appointed that sharia man as cjn, with such a speed, month to the crucial elections, that would 've been when serious protests would 've achieved anything, but typical of nigerians, we where docile, and see nothing wrong with it. now bubu control all the 3 arms of govt: the executive, the legislature, and the judiciary. so of what benefit can any of these protests achieve, hence the supreme court can not reverse its self.

They don't need to be paid to do what is right,

Owerri women did protest for one month, years back, they don't tolerate rubbish, most of those strong women are dead now, if not Hope Uzodinmma would have seen what will happen.

Anything could happen like what exactly? The court is not called "Supreme" for nothing you know?

God forbid, even if Uzodinma drops dead today, he will be succeeded by his deputy. Ihedioha cannot smell office again till the next elections.

My advice to him is to go and rest and map out strategy for the next election rather then expending his lean resources sponsoring pointless protests.

Is that thereason they should this women, to do what exactly sympathy? Seems this people were sleeping since they just realize today that ihediaoha is no longer their governor . Somebody should tell to get those women of the street, they don't desalve that embarrassement at all Biko.
