With his coward approach to games, I doubt he would be able to pull through the final phase, if we got pitched against teams like Senegal, Morocco and Algeria

The NPFL ranked the 57th strongest league in the world and 7th in Africa.

Top 3 in Africa

Tunisian league
Morrocan league
Egyptian league

Top 5 in the world

EPL
Brazilian league
La liga
Seria A
Colombian Premier league

Source: International Federation for Football Statistics.

We moved from 77th in 2018 to 57th in 2019.
With consistent and improved away results like of recent, we should see the NPFL move further up the ranking ladder this year 2020

Mundo Deportivo: Barcelona Decide Against Signing Lille Hotshot Victor Osimhen

La Liga champions Barcelona will not sign Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Lille striker is the top Nigerian player that has dominated the headlines in the winter transfer market, with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Liverpool all credited with an interest.

New Barcelona manager Quique Setien is contemplating whether to sign a new striker this month as a replacement for the injured Luis Suarez and one of the names being bandied about is Osimhen.

However, Mundo Deportivo's Miguel Rico is reporting that the Blaugrana are not planning to sign the Super Eagles star as he needs a lot of time to adapt to the league.

Barcelona's priority is to sign a striker who is already playing in La Liga and their top candidate is Valencia's Rodrigo Moreno, who was a transfer target for the Camp Nou side last summer.

2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner, Osimhen is beginning to make a name for himself in Europe and has contributed to 18 goals in 26 appearances this season.

Ndidi on the Draws:

On another Note: Lyon vs Lille has started by the way. Like 8 mins ago.

“This is the World Cup, no room for complacency. Every game must be taken seriously. Our first game is going to be the most important as well as all our home games, and even away games. We must make it to the 3rd round.”

Game is already 1-1 after 17 mins+

Osimhen with a rag tag assist for Renato Sanches. He tried to control the pass from Ikone but the pressure from Denayer made him fumble with it and it fell into Sanches' path to hit home.

Lyon equalised from a penalty taken by Moussa Dembele.

Well... Just describing the manner of the assist. It wasn't smooth but it was an assist all the same. wink

I thought it won't be given but he was eventually credited with the assist for Sanches' strike.
