Ebenezar2020:If Kanu is lying and indulging in hate speech then he is better than others out there. Other agitations like Niger Delta militants, armed herdsmen and ISWA dont have time for hate speech, their AK 47 does the speaking for them No amount of hate speech can kill anyone, but just one AK47 can send many people to the great beyond. I would rather choose an unarmed Kanu and his hate speech than the many groups in Nigeria that are armed to the teeth killing people daily |

He had to live to fight another day. Not attending his dead parents burial won't change the fact they he loves them and I am sure his parents wouldn't want him to expose himself carelessly to those dangerous nogerian animals in humans skin for the sake of burying them. The dead should bury themselves and people should always pray not to live like living dead while they are breathing as most Nigerian does. I don't think his parents were living dead, they did their bits to have reared a conscious son and it is left for him to continue from where they stopped and take the evolution to another level. |

I don't feel sorry for him. He is a loose canon. Always spitting rubbish from his mouth. If he had gone about his agitation in a more civilised manner he would have been able to attend his parents burial. Now, he will miss it. Does he have another set of parents somewhere? That means it will forever stay with him that he didn't bury his parents. Someone else did. |

FrLukas:Nnamdi Kanu doesn't care about the burial of his parents like he cares about the freedom of his people. |

FrLukas:So he should have bombed your compound which is more civil or beheaded your pastor abi? NONSENSE. You people dont even know the meaning or how to conduct a revolution. Not at aaaaaaall. That is why Africa is the only place that there has not been one revolution for change because we think and behave like NIGGERS |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by Nobody: 7:11am On Jan 22, 2020 |
Banmeallday:You are not making any kind of sense with your statement. Before you hurriedly grab your keypad to respond blindly, kindly do a little research. Nnamdi Kanu's hate speeches against the Yorubas are floating everywhere on cyberspace. He even advocated that they be killed. His rhetoric of bile and hatred is disgusting. He was raising an army in his backyard and you are here talking about one silly revolution. We know you like to change the narratives, twist the facts and doctor history. Now it is revolution he was trying to do and not fomenting a war. Such rhetorics as, "I will burn down the zoo", "any Igbo man who attends a church headed by a Yoruba man is a fool", "anywhere you see Yoruba and Hausa, kill them" don't sound like revolution. They sound like the product of a demented mind. Unless of course you don't know the meaning of revolution. |

FrLukas:In other words, Nnamdi Kanu's crime is that he "talked"? So in Nigeria, you have never seen anything worse than someone who 'talked'. If all you have against Kanu are just the utterances he made then go to sleep, there are far more serious challenges out there than 'who said what' |

| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by Nobody: 5:23pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
gidgiddy:You are a bad student of history. Do you know it is a crime to incite people to violence? "He talked..." Really? So the government should have waited for his followers to carry out his directives? People have gone to war, committed heinous crimes just at the command of some other person. An orator moves people with his speech and if he has a large following, then he becomes, not a talker but an influencer. Do you know that the dude was raising an army in his backyard? Are you aware that he was soliciting for funds for arms and ammunition? If you were the President and the person in question was a Yoruba or Hausa, what would have done? |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by gidgiddy: 6:14pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
FrLukas:You are wrong. Incitement without action is usually baseless before the eyes of the law because it amounts to mere talk. What is more important the law is what was done, not what was said. Nnamdi Kanu may have asked for guns, did he get any guns and did he use any weapons? No. So that means that all he did was talk. You said he was raising an Army? How? Because some people wore berets and saluted him? Since when has wearing berets and saluting someone become a crime? Is there any Army that is unarmed? Did they touch anybody? If you now say that the authorities should go after Kanu because he might influence people to be violent or that those saluting him might take up arms, then that would amount to criminalising a man before he actually commits a crime and that is not how the law operates. The law works on facts, not prediction. It would be like saying that SARS should arrest you tomorrow because you might one day take up arms and become an armed robber If I was the president I would follow the law. If Nnamdi Kanu or his group have done something, the right thing to do is arrest and charge to court. But going after Kanu because of mere utterances or predictions, with no evidence of wrong doing, amounts to impunity, disregard for the rule of law and infringement on Kanu's basic human rights. All Nnamdi Kanu did was talk, if you dont like what he says, dont listen to him. |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by Nobody: 6:25pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
gidgiddy:If he knew he had a case in court why did he jump bail? Sowore is in Abuja ready to face his accusers in court cos he knows he's right. Why did Nnamdi flee? He should go to Nigeria and tell them exactly what you've just said. That it is just mere talk and he didn't mean it. Thousands of Igbo men and women trooped out because of his "mere talk". If he asks them to start killing strangers in the east, won't they? |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by gidgiddy: 6:38pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
FrLukas:They sent armed Soldiers to kill him in his house. If Kanu had stayed back in Nigeria to be killed, so as to keep to his bail conditions, do you think his dead body would have stood trial in court? |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by Nobody: 8:39pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
gidgiddy:I believe you are a reasonable and intelligent person. You too, think about it. They sent soldiers to kill him in his house? They didn't kill him in prison. They didn't send parcel bomb to him. It was in his house they wanted to go and kill him in broad daylight? Pray tell, why did they want to kill him? My guess is, they went to arrest him for flouting his bail conditions and they met resistance from the "army" he was training in his backyard. |

gidgiddy:Tell him to come back and continue in his hate speech then |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by Area4Area: 8:45pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
redsun:We all know he won't come back but the way he boasted and ranted earlier, you'd think that Nigeria would've been boiling by now and this is the reason Nigerians are daring him to come back and already taking him as a boast and noise maker. |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by Area4Area: 8:51pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
gidgiddy:Sure, his boasting and ranting left him without any option. He has to for go any burial, it wasn't for any silly freedom for his IPOB miscreants. Tell him to go get an uninhabited island in the Atlantic and move his group there. |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by Area4Area: 8:52pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
Banmeallday:Oga why not start the revolution, Kanu has failed that one. |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Might Miss Parent’s Burial – IPOB by Area4Area: 9:00pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
gidgiddy:Abegi, kanu's crime include calling for the killing of certain ethnic groups and calling them all sorts of name, Kanu has been lucky because his hate speech hasn't been acted by those he directed the hate speech to and hasn't led to a genocide, if it had, the UK government would've rushed him to the ICJ. You remember that the Holocaust and recently Rwandan genocide started with name calling and calls for killings of some certain people. |
