I watched Obagoal's inter compilation.... Id say after JJ's, he comes in a close 2nd for best performance. All thru the clip, i kept asking why no Nigerian has taken serie A by storm since then......

There was a decline in our talent rate returns. The top talents never reached half the peak the landmark set by the predecessors.

Even now there are fears. Will these present talented crop reach those world class heights? Outscore Yekini, Out perform Oliseh, Okocha, KANU etc.

The present top prospects are Iwobi, Chuks, Osimhen, and Ndidi.

We watch and access keenly hoping they will raise the Nigerian banner very high once again. grin

No sir it’s not by league game

You are trying to say an academy player might have no business in the Epl which is not so

No, you the one getting me so wrong.

Im saying he is supposed to be inexperienced in description and his level as a pro, but he is already taking the epl up so fast, so that's a very strong reason to rate him exceptionally high. Simple!!!

Former CHAN Eagles defender Stephen Eze has joined Kazak club Tobol Kostanay on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old central defender has signed a deal till the end of the year.

Tobol Kostanay are undergoing a major re-organisation following the departure of several players.

In January 2018, Eze joined Bulgarian club Lokomotiv Plodiv as a free player from Nigeria.

He won the Bulgarian cup with Plodiv and this season, the big defender made 19 appearances in the Bulgarian league, scoring three goals.

His market value on the transfer is put at around 700,000 Euros.

Yes he was born in Okija, and Yes Edos bear Osayi, but, so do some Igbos too, so i cant tell where his parents came from, all what that matter to me is his move and his potential quest with the eagles. That said, I personally know some Igbos with that surname and they have no Edo roots. It is spelt Osayi or Osai.

I know a certain Osayi Emmanuel Emeka from UNN, Chinyere Osayi et al.

Some people make the mistake of relating names to a particular place alone, just because they seem distinct or prominent to that region. That was same mistake someone once made here about the name "Ajala" thinking that only Yorubas bear the name

Nigerian players like kelechi nwakali alhassan ibrahim (who plays like Kanu) do not make it in Europe because they have bad agents and not talent. I think European teams treat our players like shit and it is unfair. Something needs to be done about the way our players transfer to European clubs. There is a structural problem somewhere that is not necessarily the players fault.
It is soo bad and persistent it needs to be studied by a social scientist in a University.
It might have to do with exploitation, poverty, greed and ignorance

Nwakali has a bad agent? That's why he's career has stalled right?

What are you even saying? You see the truth right before your eyes and you want to pretend like there's nothing there.

Don't even try to shift the blame on anyone. He is the sole reason why his career has stalled. Talent is never enough, you need to understand that.

Personally I think that goal was down to Kante's mistake rather than any form of brilliance. He effectively just ran 70 yards unopposed and tucked the ball home, nothing we haven't seen Musa and even Ikedia doing
am not trying to hype the goal but I just want to ask... what really made kante to slip?

He was chased by a player though. And ofcos it is NOT a goal of the season contender-kinda goal but to be fair, he is 18 and having the composure and technique to keep the ball at close control for that run-up to the goal in a high tension top class London derby shows the kid's got heart and the mentality for the top. Martinelli scoring the way he did in that world class atmosphere is a big deal. I don't think Ikedia ever scored such at 18. grin

Note: No be yesterday, I start to dey watch Martinelli. So it was not just about one great game. The lad is truly quality. wink

Musa once scored such a goal, granted it wasn't really Arsenal vs Chelsea but I think it was Kano Pillars vs Enyimba or so, same tension really.

Anyways I didn't say he isn't top quality, I just narrowed it down to the goal yesterday because somehow, Arsenal fans seem to think that his goal was better than Son's goal against Burnley

I will answer by asking you if you play football actively? People slip, has nothing to do with anybody. The sane thing that made Gerard slip was what made Kante slip, the ball was Kante's ball easily, Martinelli couldn't believe his luck.

I know Musa did something similar. I am well aware of that actually when he was at Kano Pillars.
That's why I only referred to Ikedia. See Michael? grin wink

And yes, Martinelli is a real young top talent but his goal yesterday is not the reason I say so. The goal just shows more of what he's got in his locker. It's not like several others haven't scored any better.

And uhmmm, Martinelli's better than Son's goal?? I won't take that either from the Arsenal fans. I like Martinelli very much in fact but mehn... Truthfully, his goal yesterday got nothing on Son's abeg. Please don't mind those fans saying so. They are obviously drunk with the atmosphere around the Martinelli goal. Lol
