VP Osinbajo flagged off the project in 2017 and this is 2020.

That's less than 3 years.

Check your facts.

Amaechi apologises to Nigerians over suspension of free Iju-Abeokuta train ride
15/03/2019

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi on Friday apologised to Nigerians over the suspension of the Iju-Abeokuta free train ride during the 2019 general elections.

Amaechi tendered the apology during the monthly rail inspection of the Lagos-Ibadan modernisation project in Ibadan.
He said that the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) suspended the three months free train ride due to security and safety of passengers.

It was suspended by the Chinese and the excuse they gave me was that they cannot allow it run because of safety, since they have not completed the second line but they are almost through with it.

Apart from that, should they not have completed the Lagos-Ibadan road in the five years they have been continuing where the previous administration stopped.

Previous Govts Initiated ‘Most Of The Things This Administration Is Doing’ – Adesina

A majority of the projects the Muhammadu Buhari administration is working on was inherited from previous administrations, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity has said.

Mr Femi Adesina said this when he appeared on Channels Television’s special Independence anniversary programme on Sunday.

“Most of the things this administration is doing – 60 to 70 percent of them – were initiated by previous governments,” he said.

“That shows you that in the past a government will come and say ‘this is not our project’ And it will discard what was being done and start fresh ones.”

As a result, Mr Adesina said there are many half and quarter-completed abandoned projects.
But rather than abandon the project, he explained that the current administration will complete it.

An example is the Abuja-Kaduna rail project which the Presidential aide said was up to maybe 60 to 70 percent complete when the last administration left.

debossng:
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Tuesday commended the immediate past administration of ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan for embarking on massive projects that have been beneficial to Nigerians.

Speaking at a Town Hall meeting in Abuja, the former Rivers State governor said his Ministry did not meet any comatose project on assumption of office.

He said the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration continued the projects of the previous administration because “We realised the impact of the recession.’’
Amaechi noted that the Kaduna-Abuja railway was nearly 80% completed by the Jonathan’s administration.

He said, “In the ministry of transportation, we did not meet anything comatose. We met an attempt to bring back our rail services.

“The Kaduna-Abuja railway was nearly 80% completed which we commissioned and commercial services have commenced.’’

How many people are riding it daily and how much freight carried daily if indeed it is completed?

Common, from Lagos to ibadan for almost 5yrs, and they also promise Lagos to Calabar. If they cannot complete Lagos to ibadan in 5yrs what chance dose the Lagos Calabar rail has?

No other place in Nigeria has the type of LAGOS terrain .

The pace of work in other places will DEFINITELY be faster.

Are you a Qs or civil engineer?

Do you understand contract laws and factors affecting contract delivery?

If you are non of the above and you don't know anything

Please STFU and stop saying you are sure of what you don't know

Simple Google search would give you an idea of time frame and if you want to compare China's transport systems with Nigeria's. Then something is wrong with you upstairs
Shut up jor, when they were promising heaven on Earth they didn't know Nigeria and china is not on the same level.
There's no need exchanging words with you, keep celebrating mediocre, when the time comes we will know who is who in this country, nothing last forever.

How many kilometres did previous governments build?

Read again.

I asked how many kilometres. How many years.

This government is building Lagos - Kano. Almost completed.

At the same time Itakpe - Warii. Completed

Portharcourt - Enugu. Completed

At the same time Ajoakuta.

Don't just criticize for the sake of it.

The important thing is that we see seeing a project begining and nearing completion.

Tell me the one your 'who' completed.

U really have no idea, most of these rail line u mentioned already existed. What this govt is doing is buy new coaches for most of the rail line, and Goodluck Jonathan actually started this, buhari only continued.
The only new rail line this govt has built is the Lagos ibadan rail line. Every other ones u mentioned already existed.
Buhari even promised to extend the warri rail line to warri refinery and port but till date nothing has happened.

So you mean there is no rail from Lagos to Ibadan before.

Seriously I have no words for you pessimists, children of hate. I am a living witness of what this government is doing. But if you allow party affiliation take the better of your reasoning, then I can't help you.
