Once we are done with the switch, he should be made to come down here to ply his trade with any of the domestic clubs, by so doing, he could achieve his dream of playing for Nigeria, though, through the CHAN

On Lookman and Ejaria, we seem pretty much certain. But on the third person, time will tell. Could be Akpom afterall like Tbaba said.

I think it is better for Ahmed Musa to play as a free roaming striker as that role fits him better. His final ball from the wings is poor. However as a striker, he still has it. His speed, skill, mobility, movement, finishing and aggression are phenomenal.
We still need Musa because of experience. He has done it in the world cup before and when we get to a world cup quarterfinal we might need him to come off the bench and do something special.
Musa is not a bad player but as i said, he is better as a free roaming striker. check out his two games against Argentina in the 2014 and 2018 world cup and his game against Ireland. Experience make you stand up to the big occasion. We will need him until 2022 and then we can think of totally dropping him. Every team needs experienced players. You cant win with 100% kids.
Every winning team needs experienced players. They may or may not be the most talented but you can't buy experience.
The yorubas say
"A child may have more clothes than an elder but he does not have the rags of an elder".
Musa is even still 27 or 28.
These ademola lookmans or chukwueze might be more talented by musa BUT they do not have his rags which is experience, mental strength, winning mentality and composure. These things matter as much as talent

ChrisKels:
It is about time Musa does the honorable thing, yes he has had his time and could(debatable) be termed a legend, but, with the emergence of Kalu, SiMoses, Ejike, Onyekuru and now Ademola on that left wing, I don't see why he should still be getting an invite from the Arabian Gulf league

Yes. I read the interview several days ago. But in the light of all that has happened, I still had my reservations on such reports.

But then... I am very okay and excited with having Lookman and Ejaria soon. For Akpom... To be honest, not really excited. But then another addition to the pool. He's gonna be behind so many strikers.

Just giving Chriskels' words a thought... I know Eze is still playing "England U-21 card for Prem move before thinking of Nigeria".

The three, Adelakun is talking about are:

Akpom, Lookman and Ejaria*

*Ejaria is still very recent so it depends whether they have started his application.

Iorfa is also a possibility.

Well... Maybe na next batch him go join. wink

I know Lookman has been on for a while. I read the Chuba interview days ago speaking of his switch and then ofcos Ejaria has been talked up by Rohr in recent times.

But then, I still go with this..... Time will tell it all wink Until then, we aren't 100% certain.

U have said it all. Musa is useless on the wings but does better when paired up front with another striker. That said, he must come back to Europe to stand a chance

Onazi's Denizlispor currently beating Mikel and Nwakaeme's Trabzonspor 2-0 in the Turkish cup second leg tie in the Round of 16. It is half time.

First leg was in Trabzonspor's favor. Ended 2-0.

Aggregate now is 2-2.

England youth star Ademola Lookman switches to Nigeria

England youth international Ademola Lookman has applied to compete for Nigeria at senior level.

The 22-year-old, who won the Under 20 World Cup in 2017, holds a UK passport and wants to switch nationalities to represent the country of his parents.

A top official of the Super Eagles has welcomed his decision and he is now awaiting approval from world governing body the Fifa.

"Lookman has applied for the switch and all the documents are in order," Nigeria's technical assistant Tunde Adelakun told Opera News.

"It's a positive step forward when made his commitment to Nigeria and we are just waiting for a Fifa clearance.

"Once the go-ahead is sorted, it will be up to coach Gernot Rohr to decide if his club performance would earn him a call up."

Lookman scored 12 goals in 49 games for Charlton before joining Everton in January 2017.

Capped 31 times by England at youth level, he played on loan at German club RB Leipzig in 2018 before joining the Bundesliga outfit on a permanent deal last summer.

But the winger has struggled for regular game time this season with three of his four appearances coming in the league.

"He's one of three former England youth players we've filed for but they are all aware of the caveat," Adelakun added.

"All the players were told that they can only earn a place in the squad by playing regular club football."

Nigeria have previously succeeded in convincing several former England youth internationals like Sone Aluko, Victor Moses, Shola Ameobi, Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina to swap allegiances.

Liverpool's Sheyi Ojo also told BBC Sport that he would love to represent Nigeria if they approach him.

Should Lookman get the approval to represent Nigeria, he faces competition from Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze and Samuel Kalu for a place in the current squad.
