Were the dissolved local government elected? If so then can a governor dissolve a government before the expiration of its tenure? Or are they caretaker committee? Well, let us watch out cos I don't have much info on this case.

The point is not whether it is legal or not. The point is Malami's office advises government on legal matters. He does not have power to declear ANYTHING lawful or unlawful. That is the duty of court. It is a treasonable offense for anyone to assume the duty of any arm of government, of which judiciary is vital part.

Silly comparison.

If all your parents did was to spend their money partying and neglected to feed you, shelter you, clothe you, or even remember to send you to school for even the basic education, but kept on flying from one continent to another enjoying their lives while they left you in the care of nannies or even grandma in the village, will you bless them and pray for them and give them the respect they don't deserve?

Keeping bowing to them politicians. You will understand that they aren't your parents.

I guess you still stay with your folks, right? That's why you probably feel politicians should be respected.

Finish NYSC first and start searching for a non existent job for the next ten years, then you will know what's up.

For starters I don't bow to politicians and I passed through NYSC three years ago

All I'm saying is that people should be civil when commenting on issues because insults and all won't change or solve the problems the country is facing...

From your comments, I can see that you are angry and I must tell u that u are not alone. Most Nigerians are not happy with the state of the Nation but most Nigerians have decided not to do anything about it too

Instead of demanding for real change, people hide behind their phones and form e-warriors but when it comes to matching words with action, they'll say they don't wanna die, they have kids at home, giving one excuse after the other grin

Calling people old enough to be your fathers and grandfathers derogatory names is not cool even if you don't like or agree with the person's politics

I dnt like the way the country is at the moment too but calling people names would nt solve the challenges the country is facing

My brother. In traditional African society elders are next to gods. You know why? Because they are ready to die first b4 any evil befall the people.

They respect their institution and guide the people towards safety and prosperity.

But what we have now are demons. These people (referring ALL the political class in Nigeria) are demons. They are sacrificing the youth to renew their age. They have money that cannot finish spending in four generation and they are still stealing more. None of them deserve any admiration or respect.

All this story because you disregarded the Supreme Court Ruling which clearly forbids the action you undertook. The interesting thing is that many of the morons who shout Rule of Law, and now in full support of disregarding the highest court in the country.

You need to receive sense. If an institution breaks law, is it the duty of AGF to profer justice or the court? What is the function of AGF? Or are you as cluelessness as Malami?

The National Assembly needs to review the constitution as soon as possible to clearly state the position of the local government.

The 3rd tier of government i.e. The local government shouldn't be at the mercy of the state government just as the state government is somewhat independent of the federal government. Away from the parochial outlook of many commenters, the state government have to respect duly elected local government officials.

I am certain if Buhari dissolves an elected state government, the same narrow minded folks hailing the governor of Oyo will call for his head but see them supporting an obviously wrong act here...We are our problem in this country. Whatever our leaders do, no matter how bad a policy is, you'll still find silly Nigerians supporting it.

I'm certain you have parents at home and sometimes you might not like the choices or decisions they make around the house. When their decisions causes negative repercussions to the family, do you go about insulting and vilifying them?

Now tell me, do all the insults change anything?

No matter the situation or provocation, a well trained person will be civil when talking to elders.

guy enough of this nonsense with respect abeg, they have not started killing them u worried about the disrespect, if u are parts of them u let us know so we will know how to quote ur abeg.

We indigene of Oyo state wanted them to be sacked. Former governor conducted LG election @7th year of his 8years tenure. Only APC party participated in the election, even people did not vote on the election day because there was no contest. Only their party members voted.
Election that only one party participated 'Is that one an election'.

People are getting tired of respecting elders that doesn’t respect themselves and are too selfish and greedy and trying to make life more difficult for the next generation. They want to eat it all at once before they pass on. You don’t respect such elders that steal from you. This men are robbing our generation and you still want us to give them the accolades of elders ? They don’t lead us , they rule us. We have no freedom. We are all being controlled and working for slave masters in disguise.

Mind you; people have started beating them uptown. Not just abuse. We only abuse in Nigerian but people in diaspora have started doing the worse and I see things like this will continue until this men start putting the lives of people ahead them and not just themselves and there family.

The issue is that no Governor ahould disslove an elected LG official but my problem is that, is it now malami is waking up?. When APC was doing same, he didnt write letter, na now he sabi interpret law?. Malami should spread it accross board and LG election should be conducted by INEC and not SG bodies. We need to tear our poorly written constitution to write something better. But the problem is, the people that can change it are benefitting from that poorly written constitution.

Abusing don’t really help but I can’t blame anyone. People are frustrated. It’s very understandable. People are pushed to the wall. People are dying , hungry, out of shelter. The whole country is at a mess. Honestly, am sure even you can’t respect a devil even when the devil is older than you, can you ? Tell me what names you call people that kills freely, people that use religion for political gain, people that use ethnicity to win elections, people that gives guns to criminal for election and after election they use the guns to steal and to kill innocent Nigerian. Will you respect a devil ?
