Leicester City Midfielders Back Iheanacho To Step Into The Shoes Of Jamie Vardy Leicester City midfielders Youri Tielemans and James Maddison are backing Kelechi Iheanacho to step into the shoes of talismanic striker Jamie Vardy. The former England international is a doubt for The Foxes upcoming match against Brentford in the Emirates FA Cup after he was forced off injured during the first half against West Ham on Wednesday. Should Vardy fail to recover, Iheanacho has been earmarked as his replacement, just as was the case in the two recent matches against West Ham and Newcastle United in the Premier League. "We created a lot of chances from everywhere, from our wingers, and from Kelechi who came on. Everything was positive,'' Tielemans was quoted as saying by Leicester Mercury after the win against West Ham. "Jamie has his type of play, but Kelechi performed very well. He has his qualities of course, but he fits very well in the team, and we have to play with his qualities. Kelechi is a very good striker and we can use him for the rest of the season. "We know Jamie is maybe a bit different." Maddison added : "He’s been the best striker in the Premier League this season, so to lose him was a big loss, but Kelechi’s also been in great form whenever he’s played over the past few months. "That just shows the quality and the depth in the squad we’ve got here at the minute." Iheanacho has been involved in nine goals (6 goals, 3 assists) from his eleven appearances for Leicester City this season.

ChrisKels:True too. I just hope this settles this lack of game time being linked to not being good enough as often brought up on here especially. I personally feel he will do well in France than Germany though. Oma is doing a good job going round... Dude is in... Very in... |

Kbs468:Nacho with 6goals, 3 assists are good stats. Playing Vardy's role may increase this tally based on Leicester playing to striker's strength most times. |

Kingsley Ehizibue starts as usual for FC Koln vs the might of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Ofcourse, Håland starts from the bench again. |

tbaba1234:Then how are you yourself sure of the content of the email? FIFA is not a country, they cannot subpoena people's emails. It would have had to have been gotten by whatever government sentenced the gambler, meaning the content of those emails should already be public. |

tbaba1234:He was convicted for fixing matches so surely players will also be banned. I am not a lawyer but as a layman I can tell you that they have not proved anything against Siasia in my eyes. For FIFA to ban the gambling dude he has to have been legally involved in football prior to his conviction. In fact he booked friendlies for Nigeria in the past if I am not mistaken. So telling me that anyone who had any contact with him was involved is so bogus. Like I said if they have email conversations they would be public already. FIFA is not the FBI or 007. |

Time will tell if he makes the Euro 2020 squad. The other Spanish wingers are not sleeping. Ferran Torres, Gerard Deulofeu, Pablo Sarabia and Suso are his competition on the right. I deliberately left out Lucas Vasquez (not been seeing enough games) and Callejon. Ansu Fati, Mikel Oyarzabal and a fit Marco Asensio are his competition on the left. What Adama has over all of them majorly is his speed and power but time will tell. Subzero047: |

Talking Pre-UCL for a bit... Now I really think PSG should be worried about facing a Dortmund side having Håland. PSG has got Mbappe and Neymar, yes. But Dortmund now has Erling Braut Håland who the likes of Sancho, Reus, T.Hazard, Brandt, Hakimi.. will feed for fun. Dortmund vs PSG will be f**king bloody and exciting. Lol. Why am I saying this? That lad just came off the bench and banged in two goals already. Game over. He now has Five Bundesliga goals all off the bench. Now to wetin really concern us for the match with respect to the thread... Our boy and Eagles hopeful/prospect Kingsley Ehizibue played 74 mins and BAGGED an assist for Koln's only goal. He wasn't on field when Håland began his show again. 5-1 loss for Ehizibue's FC Koln. |
