be it anything , nigerians are bandwagon , even to travel out , they feel safer going to places where there are many Nigerians rather than trying new areas or countries . whereas new countries may present new challenges but they also present new fresh untapped opportunities .

So you would rather go wait in an atm line every other day to withdraw money? There are definitely pro's and con's
Thats not the point because ATM machines are not supposed to have long ques.

A bank that has up to 5 ATM machines and only 1 or 2 are working is not supposed to be used as an example. Why are the other ones not workinghuh

So the same bank frustrating you from withdrawing your money is the one that will save you with cashless?

Even me I use card at times because it is more appropriate but on this particular point, we should understand the dark side of using cashless transactions all the time

Is it me or it’s that this LEARNED instead of LEARNT sounds appalling ?
Both learned and learnt are correct, but the most appropriate current one should be LEARNED.

Use more of "learned" than "learnt".
It will make you sound more current in the ears of modern users of English Language.

Lol this reminds me of my own encounter twice this week...
See ehn I dont usually believe it when I see everyone queuing and waiting for one atm because someone said the other one isnt working...
..I have noticed like the OP...that people quickly run to conclusion because someone said an ATM isnt dispensing..
Well for me ...I just booked a place on the queue then proceeded to check out the ATM they all said wasnt dispensing ...voom I slotted my card...and the next thing ..it worked ....well immediately ...I started hearing jamb questions..." shey o dispense...shey eri owo gba...the look on my face ...self was enough answer to the numerous rhetorical questions...I got...
This has however become a reoccurring issues at ATM point..this always works to my favour...
End of story...abeg I'm late for work ...

Re: Using ATM: 3 Lessons I Learned At The ATM Spot This Morning by DedeNkem:
95% of the time, the problem is usually the ATM. Nigerians have the endemic disease of not maintaining things or buying sub-standard/outright fake products!

If you go to any bank in Nigeria at any given time, you will find out it has one or more ATMs that are out of service!

There was a time I went to a First Bank (the only bank I trust) branch and discovered that only one out of the 5 ATMs there was in service! As I stood there in the queue waiting for my turn, this particular last ATM also broke down!

Corruption is embedded deeply in the core of this country!

Funny experience... That's how some people will come and join a long queue just to check balance or make transfer when they can use available ATM that has no queue because it's not dispensing, thereby wasting the time of other users.

blank:
"Learnt and learned are both used as the past participle and past tense of the verb "to learn". Learned is the generally accepted spelling in the United States and Canada, while the rest of the English-speaking world seems to prefer learnt".
Here is someone who didn't just pass through school, school also passed through her. Unlike 85% of Nigeria's University graduate.
