Lassa is usually spread by the multimammate rat.

Nothing to fear in that aspect.

But seriously, madam, you have to stop 'murdering' them. Maybe the shaggy rats want to make you a 'shaggy girl'. Who knows? sad
Thanks for the enlightment,
But what do you mean by a shaggy girl 'i don't understand

Endemic is the appropriate word. It can be used to refer to plants and animals that are exclusively found in a particular place

Indigenous is when the species can also be found in other places

They are shrews not mice. And their venom is harmless to healthy humans.

I love birds, and almost all wild animals, they make nature beautiful and they show that the land is good and very valuable, because a good environment supports their existence, they also add value, like in fertility for crops, we should learn to respect these animals and live along with them.

But I just watched a video now, a shrew killed a snake with just a bite....

I don't think that will be from the venom. Probably the injury. From what I read, they normally dodge the snake strikes and bite it repeatedly until it is too injured and tired to fight, then they finish it off.
