U are the one not thinking undecided
U have been making snide remarks, but I don't want to go down that lane with u. For your information a car is not a piece of clothe. Many of u just got to know about corolla because of uber but will keep arguing f00lishly.

A car depreciates in value. Why is a 2001 Camry not expensive anymore? The older cars become, the lesser they are valued. Not just in Nigeria, but anywhere on Planet earth

You need to think. Its not a side remark. Its the truth. You aren't thinking concerning this issue. You came into this thread with "My brother bought it in 2009" reason, and despite the fact that everyone is pointing basic Economic facts to you, you still will not let go.

Nobody is here to argue with you. People who are engaging you here are drivers, car owners: People that know basics of car purchases, people who know the in-and-out of the corolla. i would rather stick to their words, than take your theory from 2009.

If you don't quote me again, i'll be grateful

U are the one not thinking
U compare cars worth close value
How much is 01 Camry presently?
A good grade toks still goes for 1.1/1.2m
How much is big daddy 03, a good grade still goes for 1.4m/1.5m. How much is 03 corolla? A good grade goes for 1.6/1.7m. I already stated in my earlier post that it took my brother extra 3 months to gather himself to buy corolla because his initial budget was for big daddy. But his mechanic recommended corolla. Corolla has always been more expensive than big daddy of same year model, so if an 03 big daddy is going for 1.4/1.5m how much do u now expect Toyota corolla to sell for? Because 03 big daddy is old, dealers should start selling it for 500k? Sometimes u people need to read & learn. If not for ehailing many of u wouldn't even know about corolla.

Its very clear guys, ehailing made corolla a popular demand and therefore increase in price especially in Nigeria but over the sea the price is a little bit minimal.

Presently, its very difficult to even get a corolla to buy in the US right now because Nigerians have bought almost all these corolla manufactured. Present price of a corolla now is nothing short of 2m. You can check around to confirm.

Sooner or later there'll be a hike in the price of Honda civic as corolla is becoming scare and its a better alternative to the popular.

I also foresee the bolded. The demand for civic is getting high now.

Like I said earlier
Look for anyone that bought a corolla before 2009, do the conversion in currency as regards increase in dollar now to price of dollar then, u will find your answer there. Many of u started hearing of corolla after uber popularity and thinks uber is responsible for its price. Uber added nothing to the price of that car, but only made it popular.
The only thing that comes in mind about corolla then especially seeing one young girl or elderly woman sitting at the car owner's seat was "na banker", "nawao c this small girl company don buy her motor". Lolzzzgringrin but now, "all these corol boys again" lolzzz

Just got my instand e-card for the toll gate. Just within 2min.

Got back to where I parked and a request came in on uber...

GBAM GBAM GBAM....
Accepted!

Rider: do you have a card for the lekki ikoy I link bridge?
Me: yes I do
Rider: Excellent! Dr, xXxX 2-4, xXxX, off Alenxandra...

Got to pickup... After waiting for like 3 mins a white elderly woman stepped out and into the car ... The rest... Everywhere good.

For thise who dont have an etag just go for a card its simple and direct and all within 1min you're done. The card is 5k you recharge it when its exhausted.

Which conditions? The one above? grin

Any new investor needs to understand how this business works. He obviously hasn't understood it yet

For any driver to give you 25k any week, he needs to make three or four times that amount. He will

Buy fuel
Recharge his phone
Pay Uber's commission
Feed himself everyday at least
Have some savings for maintenance(Guage tires, brake issues, wash the car) etc
These are just basics to keep the business running and paying the partner. Let's forget if he saves or not

What this means is the car must work. Like WORKK. In fact, anyone buying a tokunbo for uber(rental or HP) should first observe a minute of silence for the car. That car go suffer.

Back then, I drive anytime. I can make 8k net and some responsibilities will collect it. What that means is I have to hit the road again to recover. I can drive by 1am, 4am, anytime I want, because the owner money must complete and I must make something too grin

Of all conditions I've seen, this is the MOST RIDICULOUS grin.

But nitigriti said he's interested sha. So no wahala tongue

So, I think I should post this for all to learn from it. After doing offline to Ibadan last week and elders in the house agreed the fare was OK, I decided to chat up another rider over the weekend and let her know that I do offline even out of the state. From our discussion, she said I had picked her up before and she like my driving . Unknowingly to me, her husband was looking for someone to take him to IFo in Ogun State today. I quickly jumped into it. Was told I would take him and his colleagues there wait for them prolly for the whole day and bring them back.

Long story short, I charged 40k,used 3k to buy fuel again, on Coro 009. Picked him around 7 am from Osapa London and dropped him back at VI. Luckily for me they didn't even wait for up to 2hrs in IFo.

We re back in Lagos already. Local man is happy. grin

Not bad if we see a potential rider and let them know that we do offline. But be cautious sha o. Shine ya eye!

The office is located at admiralty round about. Google map LCC office, Lekki or ask anyone when you get to thw round about.

With 5k you get a card simple and direct. I've used it once each on both tolls and it worked perfectly without any delay only that no receipt is printed.

The last trip i just ended on uber the toll was included in the fare and uber is asking for a snapped copy of the receipt though I've complained no reciept was issued sha...but the one at the LB was included.
