Despite the fact that a Nigerian passport is one of the weakest passports in the world, at the moment, according to Henley Passport Index for 2020, you can still use the travel documents to travel to some countries around the world without visa hassle.

The recent rating put Nigeria at 95, out of 107 but it still had visa-free access to 46 countries, this visa-free access is in two categories, either you're granted a visa on arrival or no visa restriction if you have a valid passport.

As a Nigerian, no visa restriction, if you were to use your ECOWAS Passport in these twenty-eight countries.

African countries - Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger Republic, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.

American countries - Barbados, Dominica, Haiti, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Asian countries - Palestine, Sri-Lanka.

European countries - South Ossetia and Transnistria.

Oceania - Micronesia, Vanuatu, and Fiji.

In Transnistria located between the river Dniester and the Ukrainian border, you can stay for up to 45 days without a residence permit, so far your passport is valid.

South Ossetia provides Nigerian Passport holders visa-free access into the country for a minimum of 30 days but you must have multiple entry visa to Russia. Also, you must give a three-day prior notification to its Ministry of Foreign Affairs before entering the country.

Nigerians looking to visit Micronesia can do so without a visa but your passport must be valid for a 120-day period after the end of the intended visit. Macronesia gives visa-free access between 30-60 days.

All visitors are allowed into Vanuatu for a maximum stay of 30 days except the citizens of Russia, United Arab Emirates and all Schengen Area that are allowed to stay without a visa for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180-day period.

The visa policy in Fiji permits Nigerians to visit without the need for a visa for up to 120 days.

Meanwhile, Palestine tourist visa is not required for citizens of Nigeria but Sri Lanka business e-visa is required for citizens of Nigeria.

Some of these countries have a minimum of visa-free access for a minimum of 30days and up to 90days.
