Demons are spiritual equivalents of pathogens that afflicts humans like HIV, plasmodium, (virus, bacteria, fungus). Each has its speciality and capability. They could be inherited (rubella, hiv) or contacted (rubella, hiv).
Demons are disembodied living beings and Identities with faculties of will, emotion and intellect.

There are natural/biological means to illnesses/infirmities and this are the most common but there are also illnesses/infirmities that are demonically induced either directly or indirectly

Indirectly: a demon can arrange an HIV infected man for a demonized woman who is to be afflicted with HIV.
Directly: When a demon has control of an organ of the body for destruction. Eg. A woman could be caused to have an ovarian cyst, blocked tubes, hormonal imbalance etc

In other words, Most illnesses/infirmities are natural in origin but we find a few cases that aren't.

Demons can afflict
1. The Body (resulting in physical illness): e.g. organ failure, tissue abnormality, deformity, etc

Thank you Shade. Seems you are just using demons/spirits in religious non-scientific speech that those who deal with it in the field would not use nor treat as spirits nor demons. When the doctor cures this illness, I can see you call it an exorcism.

When you conduct a deliverance prayer for someone AND you see
1. A manifestation of the demon followed by an eviction of the demon
AND
2. You see a physical healing resulting as a result of the deliverance

You won't have a choice than to conclude that demons seems to cause some physical ailments. I think I have seen a few to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt. It's beyond bible stories!

Suppose I have a vial full of HIV infected plasma and I go about a city injecting people with the serum.

The question is, who is causing the AIDs epidemic
a. Me?
OR
b. The Virus

When you take the AIDs patient to the hospital lab, can they detect me and my syringes? No!
