I'm from Kwara State (not Ilorin particularly), but I doubt there's any core Ilorin family house with the name “Akintola” as family name.

Why is that?

I thought Ilorin is partly Yoruba, partly fulani.
Akintola being a Yoruba given name shouldn’t have less bearers in Ilorin.

Family names in Ilorin is predominantly Islamic in nature, not usually Yoruba sounding.

Of course, you can have some family bearing Gold, Wood, Baker, Coker et al. But AKINTOLA is super rare.
