The ex-wife of a very popular Congolese gospel artist, Mike Kalambay, recently revealed that she left him because he beat her with a belt for one hour while she was 5 months pregnant.

When she had announced their split last year she only mentioned leaving due to his infidelity.

They started dating when she was 17. He was 31. They married a year later. The girl is an American citizen of Congolese origin.

Domestic violence is never ever okay. The only reaction from him should be apologizing, but in typical proud African man nature, he has failed to do so.

Even to beat a goat is bad, let alone a human being, let alone your significant other.

Your wife/husband are your partners, not your children or animals. Even in today's world, beating children this way is tantamount to physically abusing them.
