*e) Nigeria*
(i) *Nigeria does not comply with the established identity-management and information-sharing criteria assessed by the performance metrics. Nigeria does not adequately share public-safety and terrorism-related information, which is necessary for the protection of the national security and public safety of the United States.* Nigeria also presents a high risk, relative to other countries in the world, of terrorist travel to the United States. Nigeria is an important strategic partner in the global fight against terrorism, and the United States continues to engage with Nigeria on these and other issues. The Department of State has provided significant assistance to Nigeria as it modernizes its border management capabilities, and the Government of Nigeria recognizes the importance of improving its information sharing with the United States. Nevertheless, these investments have not yet resulted in sufficient improvements in Nigeria’s information sharing with the United States for border and immigration screening and vetting.
(ii) *The entry into the United States of nationals of Nigeria as immigrants, except as Special Immigrants whose eligibility is based on having provided assistance to the United States Government, is hereby suspended.*

This pressure to comply may be the catalyst for the reliable citizen ID and credible census we have been yearning for.

Please can someone tell me the chances of him getting the visa, putting in mind that he's single not married. thanks y'all.

EDIT: he has traveled to two other countries for work

To my mind, all of the above reasons and other reasons given by some Nigerians whose fingers are itching them to (quickly to blame the FGN) might have next to nothing to do with the recent visa restrictions placed on some countries by the US government. Come to think of it this way, US presidential election is fast approaching, Oga at the top will do anything to appease/reassure his base that he is still on track to make America solely for right-wing Americans. Where is Iran, Iraq, any of Carribean countries, China, Pakistan or even India?

Citizens from all these countries abuse non-immigrant visas far more than Myanmar, Eritrea, Kyrgyztan, Sudan, Tanzania and even Nigeria.

Oga is fast losing his home base support and he is desperate to regain their support.

God bless you and everything that is yours.
You just explained the restriction AS IT IS. Not guessing or theories.

If we all recall the US government paid visits to our airports about two weeks back. That's the basis for above.

As soon as we can fix that, and the data management issues and get them to recertify, the restriction will be lifted.
That's the job of this PMB Committee

I am a fact-driven and verified/souced info driven person. Your list is all of conjectures and hearsays we band around.
Nigerians are getting visas. It may be difficult, but it is not as you painted it.
I am tired of this expectant mother narrative. If the intention is only to give birth in a country with good health care system, try Saudi or Dubai... They have fantastic health care too, but will never give you citizenship. It mustn't be US

The restriction is on Imigrant Visa, not Non Immigrant visa. Hope you read this?

All Visas are still open only the Immigrant Visas were banned.

Which means any visa that can lead to being a Permanent Residency or Citizenship.

Tourist Visa.
Student Visas.
Medical Visas
Are all still open as of old, but you cannot become an Americans citizen.
And Couples will even find it extremely difficult to apply Visas for their hubby or wifey. Horses mouth

US Visa Ban.

Fellow Nigerians,

I know you've been reading them telling you the US ban on Nigerians was for immigrant visa and not non-immigrant visa to defend the Buhari government.

Yes, certain Nigerians ain't banned from entering the US i.e students, tourists businessmen etc. The ban is on Nigerians applying to emigrate to the US in order to escape from the hell at home.

Do you know mass of Nigerians under Buhari like in 1984-85, secured relocation visas to the US more than any five countries put together officially, talkless of those visiting and refusing to come back?

Do you know that Nigeria is not giving enough information for the control of terrorism as globally required?

Now the questions are:

What other reasons do you need to know for mass relocation by citizens of a nation taken over by terrorists, bandits and kidnappers many of who were in custody but released by the government of their nation?

What else do you expect from US if a nation won't share information for the control of terrorism as required and an international standard for global fight against terrorism?

I laugh when I started seeing the current trends of some northern youths proposing to old Americans online and getting accepted....

Hold your government responsible, don't be mad at US.

Somebody help o o o.
I've read countless posts on this thread in preparation for my b1b2 visa interview in abuja tomorrow morning.
But It just dawned on me in one of the last few posts where someone mentioned no one was on the reciprocity fee line or sth.

Does that mean I have to go with cash?
How much please? For the reciprocity

Please I need a response.
