Why is it that there are so much suffering in the world and it seems God is not doing anything to change that?

I think it's because our destiny is in our hands.
Whatever we enjoy or suffer today is as a result of the decisions we took in the past.
Also, the decisions of our parents, the government of the day and who we have decided to vote into power may be factors contributing to whether are are enjoying or we are suffering today.

So, God isn't responsible for anyone's suffering or enjoyment.

But will God intervene and change our destiny for better inspite that wrong decisions were taken unbehalf of us by our parents or the government?
Can we pray to God that he should change our destiny for better inspite that we are not aware that the decisions taken by our parents not to give us any form of quality education is making us suffering today?

I think it is the right of God to remain neutral about that if he want to.

God is never neutral in the scheme of things in this world. He's very much active, in fact all things revolve around His purpose - both good and evil.
Satan - man's common enemy wants us to believe he is in control of things, but those who have a genuine relationship with God know better - that nothing happens without God's permission.
Anything that happens to us, there is a divine purpose for it; we may not understand it all but we know it's all good for those who have absolute trust in God (Romans 8:28).

God wants the best for us but problems are still part of life we can only trust in his grace which is sufficient for us at any face we pass through in life. My minister will always say that God did not promise us a problem free life or smooth journey but he promised us a safe landing if we only but trust and obey him
