is probably one of my best reporters on Nairaland: very neutral, yet says it as it is.

Although, he reports for Anambra only, but then you can't help but admire the development in Anambra state, due to the very good ethics of journalism he practices.
That is excellent journalism... Keep it up, bruv...

Are all these businesses paying the right tax to the state gov't? It doesn't make sense that Anambra has these plenty number of industries and other businesses, yet they don't record at least 4 billion naira per-month in IGR!

And can someone in gov't please send staff down to that industrial area on a sunday to sweep the streets of all that accumulated sand and sediment on the roads! Or ask the businesses there to organise themselves to get it done on a regular basis! This is part of what leadership is about.....not sitting on your ass in Awka, and not knowing what's going on in all corners of your state!

My thoughts! My thoughts!! good observation. That lane filled with sand is supposed to be an upgraded pedestrian side walk...i dunno who constructed such a fine road without a good pedestrian side walks.

I think what the OP said is pertinent.

Both sides of the country need themselves.

If not hides and skins from the north there wont be an onitsha shoe industry, or tomatoes from Jos for paste companies in Lagos. We must realize, like china and India, the strength in numbers. The trump ban is a good opportunity for inward growth. We are the next biggest thing, with unlimited raw materials, youth and talent.

What is the rational for linking katsina by rail with the poorest nation in the world.?

Even if there is a trade going on between both areas(katsina and Niger republic), they Basically share Land borders that can be serviced through trucks.

My thoughts exactly.
But I like the way he brought it up. Some people are bent on brainwashing the Igbo youths of this generation into hatred n views that the average northerner is their problem while it's not true. Northerners have been living in Onitsha even before the creation of Nigeria.

The name Fegge is from Niger State. Growing up in Onitsha before the war, my father said Bida,Haruna, Sokoto n Niger Streets were enclaves of the Hausas n the heart of the North-East trade.

Anambralstson thank you for rejigging our memories. Imena. Jisie Ike . This is B.S was this streets named before or after the civil war? Don't come here and blab out of ignorance

The Spiritual Understanding Of Blessings And Curses
=======================================

Most things usually appear healthy on the outside, until the spiritual implications behind it are eventually revealed.

If you're a Christian or non=Christian, and your Pastor or whoever your leaders maybe that's saturating you with preaching and teaching of visible things. Such as God is getting ready to bless you with a husband/wife, promotions, destroying your enemies, etc. and minimal teaching, if any, is geared towards the invisible or spiritual realm. Then the reality is it will be virtually impossible for you to grow and develop as a spirit being or even understand the realm of the spirit where all things originate from. It will be your ignorance of such things that make you easy prey for the enemy.

The spirit world has two categories of manifestation on the earth, and they are blessings and curses. However, in both instances, human co-operation is a "MUST!" for either of them to be manifested or made visible in the earth. To bring clarity to this spiritual understanding. I must point out to you that a blessing or a curse IS NOT PHYSICAL OR SOMETHING TANGIBLE! Now, I know this is hard to digest because most of your life, you've been told that a new car, a new home, a promotion on the job was a blessing. You were probably further told that your vehicle wrecked or your home being destroyed or losing your job was a curse or even bad luck.

The reality is the physical events that took place in your life that you've labeled as a blessing or curse were only the manifestations of spiritual endowments of blessings and curses levied on your life. For example, scripture says that God has blessed us with all "SPIRITUAL" blessings in heavenly or spiritual places, Eph 1:3. It is so important to reject or cancel the words of anyone that speaks anything negative over your life. The reality is their negative words, which are spiritual, will eventually manifest in your life. On the other hand, when someone speaks something positive in your life, then you come in agreement with those words with the expectation of manifestation as a result.

Typically, the spiritual blessings from God are manifested physically to us via our obedience to his word. In other words, God has already blessed us before us even entering the earth. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love" Ephesians 1:3-4

So the above scripture provides clear evidence that we've already been blessed before our birth. However, to access these blessings, we must follow and obey God's word, which is the bible. "And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. And all these "BLESSING" shall come upon thee, and overtake thee if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God" Deuteronomy 28:1-2. So, as you have read, your spiritual blessings are made manifest in your natural or physical world when we obey the word of God.

Of course, the opposite of all of what I have said is also true. The negative things that are occurring in your life are a result of a spiritual curse over your life. However, that spiritual curse cannot be enabled outside of your permission and believe it or not; your consent is given when you reject or disobey the word of God.

"But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou, set thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me" Deuteronomy 28:15-20.

As you have just read, the physical curses or the manifestation of a spiritual curse is enabled when one disobeys the word of God! On the other hand, spiritual blessings are manifested when we obey the word of God.

Why not take this moment right now to renounce, reject and cancel by the fire of God all evil curses spoken over your life, and ask God to destroy by fire all evil altars, evil sacrifice, and all evil voices speaking against your destiny. While you're at it, ask God to check you in any area of his word that you have been disobedient, all in an effort in bringing an end to the physical manifestation of curses that you've been knowingly or unknowingly allowing into your life. As a reminder, the spiritual law of God clearly states, "the curse without a cause cannot come upon a person."

Learn God, study his word if you decide not to, then according to his word, you will be destroyed because of a lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6.

Low self-esteem. They bring in truck loads of goods including vegetables, pepper, cows, etc from up North and due to economic of scale, pick up some few loads of goods back home. would you expect them go back with empty trucks. Every state of the south has its fair share of trucks from the north. if you want to cheastbeat, at least do it with sense.

No. It's not so much about being happy than it being about providing pictorial evidence to those who often ask: "What does the North bring to the table?"

Here. Clearly, they can see it.

It is obvious you know nothing about the geopolitical nature of Nigeria. There is nothing special about doing business in any part of Nigeria, something the Igbo has first-class in. However, Nigeria remains a contraption due to culture conflict between the North and South, something no politician will tell you because it will mean an end to their hold on power.

And the more amazing thing is that all you're seeing is down to individual effort of Igbo gov'ts and entrepreneurs. All this is inspite of them trying to relegate the south-east region behind theirs in terms of provision of infrastructure like airports, railways, roads and sea/river ports!

Stop complaining.

You guys say that the Igbos don't need the presidency.

You have no idea how senseless that makes such Igbos appear

The northerners will never allow any part of the country to secede because it will lead to the disintegration of the entire country.

Yes, the north wants uninterruptible access to petrodollars and the seas

Yesterday I decided to go for inspection visit on second niger bridge site, I went through harbour industrial estate Onitsha. It's one of the the major industrial estates in Anambra State. Previously I do visit the industrial estate on Sundays, the second niger bridge site is not far from the estate.

I went yesterday being Saturday, I was marvelled by the number of trucks most especially from the north with raw materials to sale to the industries. They all line-up both sides of the roads. I decided to make enquiry from one of the the locals I saw, he told me that's how they come everyday except Sunday, that after selling the raw materials they load finished products and other goods from Onitsha markets back to north, I was so excited.

No man is an island, only if we learn how to do things right in Nigeria, providing basic infrastructures doesn't benefit only the indigenous people other Nigerians residing or that comes for business also benefit from those infrastructures. Pictures below
Carry your evil preaching to sambisa forestt
