Behold one of the youths I was talking about.
But how do you expect us to believe what you're saying when the records are there? Thousands of Igbos have been massacred in the north because of hatred, no?

Yesterday I decided to go for inspection visit on second niger bridge site, I went through harbour industrial estate Onitsha. It's one of the the major industrial estates in Anambra State. Previously I do visit the industrial estate on Sundays, the second niger bridge site is not far from the estate.

I went yesterday being Saturday, I was marvelled by the number of trucks most especially from the north with raw materials to sale to the industries. They all line-up both sides of the roads. I decided to make enquiry from one of the the locals I saw, he told me that's how they come everyday except Sunday, that after selling the raw materials they load finished products and other goods from Onitsha markets back to north, I was so excited.

No man is an island, only if we learn how to do things right in Nigeria, providing basic infrastructures doesn't benefit only the indigenous people other Nigerians residing or that comes for business also benefit from those infrastructures. Pictures below

Actually those in business know that, is just very unfortunate that the politicians and religions Leaders are the ones destroying our national unity...

Great. That should also be the model for cattle. The East should grow grass and process it into hay. The North should raise the cattle in ranches in the North.
When the Northerners truck in their cattle, they carry the hays back to their ranches to feed their cattle up North.
That should prevent farmers/herders clashes.

Onitsha will always remain the biggest market in west Africa

Not any more. If you visit main market, you will weep for the traders. Nothing is happening there since the border was closed. Remember most of the customers come from other African countries. The traders beg you to buy from them so that they can eat. A lot of shops are empty, while the goods in the open shops are not up to 1/10 stockef as it was b4. Lagos line that you have to push ppl to pass is just too empty.
Lots of the young traders have permanently relocated to China to tie goods for buyers that come to Chinese MKT and also act as agents ( oso afia) to ppl that don't know the market well. They earn commission from the sellers and tips from the buyers.

My thoughts exactly.
But I like the way he brought it up. Some people are bent on brainwashing the Igbo youths of this generation into hatred n views that the average northerner is their problem while it's not true. Northerners have been living in Onitsha even before the creation of Nigeria.

The name Fegge is from Niger State. Growing up in Onitsha before the war, my father said Bida,Haruna, Sokoto n Niger Streets were enclaves of the Hausas n the heart of the North-East trade.

Anambralstson thank you for rejigging our memories. Imena. Jisie Ike

As an Igbo man I’ll be more cautious of a Yoruba man than a Hausa man.

Hausas are neutral except the power drunks amongst them, but the average Yorubas hate anything that has to do with Igbos.

We all use Hausas to cover up.

Please what neatness and road conditions...

I reside at Nnewi from Nnewi before u enter Onitsha d road is very bad during raining season and dirt every where. Then inside Onitsha coming from upiweka a few years back dirt is the main cause of traffic.

Peaceful yes but Road and neatness a big NO No

And I give Onitsha that everyone hustles

when they left southeast and went to katsina to construct rail lines that will lead to niger republic thinking they are punishing ndi igbo i just laughed at their ignorance.

its only myopic people that doesn't know the huge economic role southeast plays not only for Nigeria but for west africa as a whole!

Onitsha, aba and owerri has the highest number of dangote trucks visiting the region after lagos. it has the highest number of goods transported from the north and vise-versa more than any other state aside lagos!

now you can begin to imagine the huge economic importance of rail lines in this region linking it to lagos, kano and port harcourt.

IGBO LAND IS A VERY IMPORTANT ECONOMIC HUB TO NIGERIA - CALL IT CHEST BEATING NA YOU SABI!

I couldn't have said it better! Spot on mate!

the average northerner hates the igbo man with everything in him - thats why any slightest opportunity he will use it to attack and kill him!

tell me - how many times have you heard an igbo man attacked any of the numerous northern brothers of your residing in the east!

we know you are an aboki that grew up in igbo land i will advise you to go to your northern brothers and preach them to understand that the average igbo man doesnt hate them nor have time to hate anybody at that - we are just after our peaceful survival!
The average igbo man is just after his business. He is only dangerous when his business is threatened!!

Other popular Hausa settlements those days in Onitsha includes Adophy, Uga and Barracks streets. Almost all the houses in Adophy then were owned by northerners. However, I think Umuahia boasts of the oldest Hausa settlement in the whole of the old eastern region.
