I remember the former president saying "stealing is not corruption" Ofcos stealing is not corruption but many Nigerian faulted him for saying this without giving the statement a second thought .
To vomit a crime is to be corrupt but not all corruption is a crime . I Nigerian, we practically live our everyday life in corruption and I will use this thread to point it out in our everyday life

* you beat the traffic light and felt no one saw you but as you move fuurther, road safety official got on your tail and pulled you over. You were confronted with your crimes and an officer was asked to enter your car and drive to the station .
You obeyed and as you drive on, the officer starts a conversation with you telling you how they will punish you and make you go for a mental wellness check and at the end,you may incur a chat of over 50k but you can just be nice to him with a gift and he will let you go.
Common sence demands that you comply and you go free .
Yet this is corruption .

You visit a national hospital for treatment and the doctor prescribed some drugs for you. You got to the pharmacy and after costing,you realise the bill is way above your budget. The pharmacist then tells you to bring the amount you have but he will not give you receipt.

You take your baby to the hospital for immunization. The Nurses told you that the hospital has ran out of rotta vaccine and you should go with your child till further notice.A nurse then called you aside and said you can get the vaccine for 7k in one of the offices in the1 hospital.
It makes logical sence to you and you paid to get the vaccine .

Yet this is corruption

As a contractor, you got an RFP for a supply and your company bidder. On the day of concept defending and award, a certain moderator from bureau of public procument was extremely nice to you .He accepted your pricing without negotiation and recommended that you get the contract(Gods favour right)?
On your way our, he whispered to you that he wants you to give him a lift and as you drive on, he tells you that he intentionally selected you and you should show appreciation by paying a certain %If not, the contract would be rewarded to another person. You agreed and paid as this is the logical thing to do.

Is this not corruption?

These are but a few ways "We live corruption" as the very kernel of our society is already affected. So are we really ready to fight corruption
