You can upgrade your windows 7 to 10 for free if the windows on your laptop is genuine. It will only cost you data.

Whenever you see the prompt to upgrade windows, connect to the internet and click upgrade. It will download and install automatically.
Remember your windows Should have a valid license or be genuine to do this.

Thanks so much. Pls how do I verify if my window is having a valid license or genuine to do so ? Pls Iam a novice in this area. Thanks.

Download Windows 10 image from Microsoft website. Most likely in. iso format. And you can mount it with a mounting tool like Daemon tool. This will mount the iso file as a CD drive. You can click on the setup.exe file and begin the installation. This will help you upgrade the Windows without losing any files.

I think it's high time we have a repository on this thread for basic installation files being hosted on a cloud platform. This will help everyone from searching and downloading the wrong files on the Internet. We'll see how to do this very soon.

Just like effectz123 has mentioned. Even if you don't have the mounting tool like Deamon, just right click on the .iso file and click on mount to drive option that'll pop up. Have a good day!!!

Thank you for this, I've also looked forward to something like this. It's frustrating when you'd want to download a common software and you'll be redirected to every phishing site there is. One could even end up downloading a malware angry

You're right. Except that Windows 7 cannot mount iso files without a mounting software. Native ability to mount iso began with Windows 8.

Are you sure about this?? Because I've been mounting .iso installation files for my clients running Windows 7 on their systems. No offense tho, but you could check it out sir. Have a pleasant day.

Oh. It's fine. I'm very sure of it. You can try a new windows 7 installation and check it out. Or just do a Google search to save the time. Windows 7 can't natively open an iso image.

Hello guys.
so I have this problem with my HP 840 ProBook.
The battery is 3hrs+ but I discovered that two months ago, whenever the battery gets around 33%, it goes off and won't turn back on except I plug in a charger. Then it comes back on by itself and resumes charging from the 33% state it was on...it's almost as if it doesn't exhaust d battery but for some reason it must go off.
I've been managing it since then however over the past two weeks it graduated to 75% until yesterday where it barely stays on for 5 minutes even if fully charged.
I've suspected the battery but I also noticed that there is a warning about the CMOS battery at start-ups,also the time is incorrect unless I connect the PC to internet to reset the time.

what exactly is the issue I'm facing?
hi, seems u have two battery problems.
The first problem can only be solved by changing the battery, because it appears ur battery is weak now.
Secondly, if you can access the CMOS battery (in some laptops u will find it under the keyboard) u need to replace it because it's the culprit for inaccurate time. But I advise you take it to a technician if you can't do it.

Yesterday, I decided to activate simcard on it but unfortunately I was caught up with some problems after I viewed tutorial on YouTube on how to use sim on laptop.
The first problem is that the Start menu and the search toolbar are not responding. I tried to search online to have solution to this but the solution is temporary. I read to restart window explorer and it works but if I restart, the problem come up again. And more so, the settings or search toolbar show blank page and nothing to display

I will be glad if you can help me

Which software did you download when trying to activate the Sim. Also which Windows version are you using? I suggest you reinstall the OS wins 10 preferably. This will fix your current problem. Also be mindful of third-party softwares you are using to activate the Sim. Always use softwares directly from the manufacturers site.

Hope this helps

I don't think so, even if it does u can reinstall all automatically from device manager.
But you won't loose your files if you won't delete any partition during the installation process

this is usually caused by improperly sitted HDD. open the HDD enclosure located in the system. Try resitting the HDD and ensure it is firmly positioned. Then reboot your system to see what's going to happen.
let me know the result

Yes you're definitely right... It can't natively open an iso image unless you have a mounting software installed.

Try another battery on the laptop.

Go for a battery that can power the laptop when the charger isn't plugged to the laptop.

Good morning Fam. I have been dealing with the problem of my laptop going off after every 28 minutes. First, when you turn it on for the first time, it will work for like an hour or more before switching off and when I turn it on immediately again, it will come up again then boot normal and I will use it for 28 minutes before it automatically shots down again, when I power it on again it will come up and boot, it will also last for another 28 minutes. Engineers have diagnosed the problem and it was discovered that the problem is from the board. The first engineer said he cannot work on it because it is very delicate to work on board, another engineer diagnosed it and said that the Bios is bad, then flashed the bios and replaced with a new Bios but the problem persisted. He finally discovered that the heatsink might be the problem, that he's going to change the heatsink but until this very moment we haven't gotten the heatsink to atleast test and see if it would solve the problem.
The system is Lenovo ThinkPad (edge 15). Please if there's anyway or any means I can get it, any of our good and versatile guru's here can help out, please. Heatsink for Lenovo ThinkPad (edge 15).

Thanks Fam. A Prompt and accurate info or response that would solve the problem, would be highly appreciated.
Hi, were you able to solve your laptop issue?
