Kudos to these attorney generals....if miyeti alah can carry guns, then nothing should stop our Amotekun from bearing arms.
i hope same you will not be a victim of an untrained and trigger happy Amitekun arm bearer someday

.
I am in support of Amotekun (and regional security outfits)...
But there are already too many illiterates and semi-illiterates bearing firearms in Nigeria! SMH
sad

Bearing firearms should have nothing to do with your literacy levels. Your mental state is most important when you're allowed to carry firearms, and not how educated or uneducated you are.

Anyway, we're already victims to trained military and paramilitary/police accidental discharge episodes. Let's hope the states can properly train those they employ now, better training than what the police give their own.

The beginning of the end of the Nigeria state as we know it.

And Praise be to God, this is acceptable in our sights and in the Sight of God.

AII these many grammar for Amotekun.... The sw may continue to compromise until you wake up and realize that Amotekun has been disbanded. Their alliance with the north is still very much solid.
Let's just watch shaa and see how the gra gra goes

Amotekun doesn't stop any alliance the SW decides to have with any other region. There's nothing wrong if they decide to protect themselves. Crime should be discouraged in all regions. Criminals from anywhere be it the SW itself, SE, North should be apprehended. There should be no compromise in that.
Anyone can fall victim to kidnappers like Evans, or herdsmen militia who destroy in the name of cattle rearing or even fall into the hands of ritualists. Security outlets need to do more, and Amotekun will provide more hands for the security of the various states.

Hopefully it won't end in tears

These people should recruit only intellectuals who are sane upstairs otherwise it'll be bad

Also who checks the excesses of Amotekun, what will be their failsafe mechanism

Who will disburse and collect said weapons from them, how many months of training, physical and mental will they go through?

Amotekun cannot be successful without its personnel bearing arms. They can’t fight armed criminals with bear hands.

Yes but we have neighbourhood watch in lagos for over 4 years now. They're well behaved though not armed. All the vehicles and cycles given to them are well maintained as if its theirs. They constitute no nuisance. They're learned individuals. That's a good instance.

Nice one, everyone should organise such security outfits to protect their ancestral lands...we all are indigenes of our ancestral homes, before the Nigerian project was formed. Don't give space to invaders, be wise.

We are watching.

Its not about support or not.

OPC was not even recognized by law and we know what happened.

Giving civilians with no single psyche evaluation arms is a huge disaster.

And with the rate of unemployment in Nigeria, it will be a free for all recruitment with typical Nigerians looking for quota for their own people whether insane or not.

Yes, there is serious insecurity but we can't be in a haste and create a much more dangerous hydra.

The benefits of state police still surpasses its demerits and should be a better option than this.

Am already afraid cos I have friends and families in these areas.
