I have no issues infact baby was measuring 1week ahead during my 20weeks scan 5weeks ago(around 75-80percentile) even d sonographer keep asking if it was my 1st cos tommy no big @ all, she's super active in here that u don't need anyone to remind u that u are having a temporary visitor there DAT will be evacuated in 13weeks time. Good day all, please who does ante natal in Kubwa General hospital Abuja? I want to start going there because the nurses and doctors are much more civil than the ones in Bwari where I used to go for antenatal.
If you attend there please what days do they do their own registration and checkups? Thanks for helping.
I used there for a while in my first. Registration is Fridays if I'm not mistaken, and normal antenatal days is Wednesdays if it has not been changed. I had to run away from there this time. I no get strength for stress

It's different for everyone I guess. I was bigger with the second pregnancy but I know at least two people that were smaller second time around.

BS Alert
Ok so basically there’s not much to tell considering it’s ELCS.given my big baby history n short inter pregnancy time,I was scheduled for 37 wks plus . Came into hospital on Thursday n prepared for Friday...so this pregnancy was a verrrrey emotional one. I was touchy, always crying, hyper sensitive n almost always depressed so on Wednesday night, was dreaming theatre up n down. Hubby wasn’t in town to calm me down, Thursday night, couldn’t sleep...was just crying up n down n accusing hubby for no reason as if I wanted him to stay with me in the ward in a general hospital...prayed after plenty cry n slept. Friday morning, came to take history n by 9, I was wheeled into theatre....so cos my last epidural failed, I was afraid this would fail again but they kept telling me it’s my mind, I should work on...10:06 surgery started n these rascals didn’t wait for me to say the needle they were using to check the effect of the epidural was not paining Me.... I insisted it was pain o, dey said it’s a lie that if it’s pain, I should move my leg,,,, I couldn’t o but me I sha knew what pain is...last last, they said my wahala was too much I guess so they gave me something not to knock me off totally but to make me sleep....I refused to sleep o, my eyes were heavy but u see fear? Na bad thing!!was just crying there not from pain o but from only God knows...last last sha, they were done n I could breathe down...baby came out 10:15 n they were done by 10:56 or there about, it sha lasted 45mins .... so u know how they say ppl exchange babies, I was worried about that too so I first looked for the sex of the baby, by the time I say make I look face, them don Carry am comot!choi, I almost shouted I’m not done but just kept mum n let them go...couldn’t help but notice the hair ....full n lush...me wey no get hair....funny thin is during my prayers the day bfr , I prayed again for full hair, fair baby ,no jaundice or anomaly cos I didn’t take my routine drugs up to half the whole time...n God answered
Ok so story don long reach....didn’t know having a female would make me this happy ....she’s so gorgeous n pink!!!! My heart is full of joy n I’m soooo glad we didn’t terminate this unplanned but needed pregnancy. Recall I took in at 7months n DS is hyper but God came through....I juts trust him for the days ahead sha....It will always always end in praise!!!
Baby dust to all GtC mums
HnH bumping to all waddling mamas
Maximam repseck to cappo beyedew m lovely teamies !!!!
It will surely most definitely end in praise

Condolences to those who lost their los due to one reason or the other, u re comin back earlier than u could imagine!

Time to go look for family planning method biko....I Kent risk anything again o...

When I realized I wasn't giving birth there, I stopped going for antenatal. The nurses come in anytime from 7am and we usually start before 8. Coming 6am was so I could pick an early number. If you have someone close to the hospital that can help you go write your name very early, then you can go at your convenience. If not ehn, torrr

Ok that makes sense, bwari own starts at 7 sharp. I intended to give birth there before sha....because nicer nurses and doctors that's why I wanted to register there. Seriously the local hospital staff in bwari GH are so unnecessarily rude sometimes I am tired of them.
I have an elderly sister in law living close to the kubwa hospital but I can't send her message to write name, at all grin
So I will stick to bwari antenatal

Yinmmu.

This second pregnancy, people don't call me BRT because I was already big before the pregnancy but didn't add much pregnancy weight as the first.

I'm having a VBAC so I don't want a big baby. But the bump is still big. I guess is the healthy lifestyle you maintain in pregnancy.

Good morning mums. I delivered a baby boy I'm August last year successfully and vaginally. However, during one of my visits to ANC, my gynae told me I had fibroid growing too and I was confused. After delivery, I went for a scan in October and lo and behold, it was there: anterior subserous myoma measuring 3.7*2.1cm. I haven't started any treatment (I'm contemplating traditional method by using herbal medicine to shrink it) as I am still breastfeeding. This is my first baby. Any advise mums on treatment
Ma'am, I treated my fibroid in traditional way too but instead of shrinking, it increased from One to three within two month and the size also increased too but before the traditional, the one fibroids stayed more than 10years but I later ended up operating the fibroids.

A friend of mine treated her fibroids in traditional way too but instead of the medicine given to her to shrink the fibroids, it was damaging her kidney and liver. In summary, we lost her in the process of her treating the fibroids in traditional way.

First Timer, just thought to share my experience as I am very distraught ATM . I lost my first baby last Saturday 1st Feb at 21 weeks.

It started out like any other day the Thursday before . I went to the office , bought a few food stuff on my way home n then went home cooked , served my husband and then we got intimate .

Few hours later I had re occurring cramps (I have growing fibroids which isn't in the uretus) I assumed that was what caused the cramps but if was persistent from midnight to 6am my husband insisted we went to the hospital which we did and I found out I was contracting .

The Gynae gave me some injections n placed me on drip and the contractions continued and eventually stopped. On Friday morning I noticed I was bleeding non stop I asked for the gynaecologist and was told he doesn't work on weekends that he has travelled to visit his family (I was surprised Cz I was his patient and it was an emergency so expected him to atleast stay Friday to monitor me ) .

In the afternoon on Friday , I noticed my gestational sac hanging out of my vagina (that is the sac that holds the amniotic fluid and baby ) I was screaming in tears n shock . I was supposed to have my baby in the us so I called my Us doctor who insisted they carry out an emergency cerclage (stitching of the cervix) but the gynae was unavailable .

I asked to be transferred to another hospital n they said their ambulance was at their ikeja office , wow I was dumb founded Cz I couldn't stand n needed to be in laying position due to the sac sticking out. After some time the sac went back in . I kept on praying n crying as this was our first child.

I asked if they had incubator just incase the baby comes out they said no.

After much back n forth he sent a replacement gynae from their ikeja branch (I was in ikoyi branch ) who arrived at 8pm who advised that nothing could be done but observe and pray and he left back to ikeja branch instead of staying with me as I was an emergency patient.

I bled all night , my baby was a fighter his heart beat was still on functioning well all through the distress (every time I did scan in the past , drs always commented of how active my son was)

On Saturday morning I woke up to pee and felt like a balloon burst from inside me my water broke. Immediately called the nurses who checked the heart beat n the baby's heart rate was still perfect.

I went to the delivery room , my son head popped out he was still moving as he came out inside the sac after 5 mins he passed. Then the torture began . They general practitioner n nurses spent 2-3 hrs trying to remove the placenta , used all sort to expand my uterus - forcep, hands , clamps I was in excruciating pain . All this while the gynae n replacement gynae were not available .

They finally got the placenta out n I had to be treated with lots of antibiotics as I was feverish n having short breaths so they gave me that incase of any infection .

Been crying all through , the gynae finally graced us with his presence on Monday night imagine the loss was on sat(no calls or nothing the whole weekend) .

My husband and I asked him for reason for the pre term labour he couldn't give us a specific reason . Just said stress , sex we had a night before or anything .

Let me just stop here ,I am recovering and I pray no one ever experience such treatment as I feel like this could have been controlled and the loss was due to negligence .

Sis, reaching out to you with hugs. I experienced the same thing at 16weeks, the worst experience ever, some doctors are just terrible..

Allow yourself grieve and stay close to your loved ones... God will not give us blessings that will end in tears. Amen

Hello house, I’m 14weeks pregnant. I’m basically all by myself, no mum or sisters just me alone. I have been having serious maleria and I went to a government hospital, I was given 3days injection and drugs but right now I can’t stand the drugs they gave me, the drugs are killing me, I don’t sleep well at night and I don’t feel alright at all.. pls should i be worried? My hubby is not in Nigeria and I’m 28yrs old and this is my first pregnancy..
Sorry mama. I had malaria when I was 14 weeks as well, was given Arthesunate combination therapy. It was like hell for me, I couldn't close my eyes for good two days, not even for five minutes but when I saw my gynecologist as she wasn't the one that prescribed it for me. She said some drugs will make your symptoms worse first before they will start working. You will be fine and the insomnia will go soon. However, if yet you don't feel better, pls visit your doctor.

Congratulations to the Feb mamas that have birthed their LOs, may your babies be a source of joy to you and your entire family.

To the remaining Feb mamas, wish you smooth and swift delivery.

To the rest of us, may we birth ours at the appointed time, mamas and babies alive plus plenty money in daddies account and siblings rejoicing will be our portion.

To the sabi mamas in the house, please help o. I have been worrying over how I will breastfeed when I finally put to bed, reason being that right from adolescent, I noticed my breast is different from other people's own, at least those that I have seen. I practically dont have nipple, it inward instead of outward like others own.

Before marriage, I didn't see any big deal in it but now that I'm married and expecting my first child, it begins to bother me.

I have a nurse friend and decided to speak to her about it and showed her. She said I have a retracted nipple and breastfeeding may be difficult if I don't do something about it. She advised I buy syringe and start drawing it out, that since I was born with it, it will come out.

I read about it on google that it's not an abnormal situation, it's just a shape of the nipple as every individual has different shape of breast and nipple. Also read about bringing the nipple out manually which my nurse friend advised.

Now my question is, can I do this at 21 weeks? I have read here that some people use to stimulate their nipple to activate labour. Hope the drawing out won't bring about early labour.

Please I will really like to here from my sabi mamas especially anyone who has heard about this or had a retracted nipple before. Please don't ignore. Thank you all.

How are we all? We are almost there. Counting down, it's our month and none of us will be found wanting. God has made it easy for us.
I hope we have packed our hospital bag, very important. Even if you haven't finished shopping, pack the ones you have gotten and then you'd know it's just to throw in the remaining ones when you get them.

Omariopat and legendsmother how are you teamies? Please pop in OK.
Don't forget to pray, pray, pray. Even all the medical instruments that will be used on you, pray for them. We are victorious!!

Present cappo... hope you are good also.
Waiting patiently on the Lord for the contractions needed to deliver the cutie.

Bags have been over packed and dropped in the hospital since my first near labour experience. If not I would have been feeling all the baby's clothes every now and then.

May God make it easy for us all. Cappo no roll call from the toilet anymore.

Allow ur hubby to do his job, let him always suck ur boobs u will see wonders.. we were even advice in ANC to also practice it. Before I use to have dat kind of nipples but not anymore

Good day all, please who does ante natal in Kubwa General hospital Abuja? I want to start going there because the nurses and doctors are much more civil than the ones in Bwari where I used to go for antenatal.
If you attend there please what days do they do their own registration and checkups? Thanks for helping.
I used Daughters of Charity for my first, though with NHIS, they are now located close to Living Faith dutse, you'd enjoy their services especially if you are under NHIS. A friend said the crowd at general hospital was crazy. If not for distance I'm considering DOC for my second. If you see my tommy stitch, you won't even believe I had a CS with my first.

Relax dear. Everybody is different in their own way. Your type of nipples only comes out when fully aroused I guess. Allow your hubby suck on your nipples as someone rightly suggested. You can also try pulling on it when having your bath. It will all end in praise by His Grace.
