Hard truth for NTA...

1.If NTA cannot get the loan , then Nigeria would have to start the process of selling our public broadcaster because it is obvious that the money to run the NTA is not enough.

2.Or Nigeria begins to charge TV licence fees from every Nigerian with a television. South Africa does it, which is why SABC is a premium broadcaster. And it is N6000 annually. A TV licence fee of N5000 from every Nigerian with a TV set in the house should prevent the need for NTA taking a loan.

3.Or we pray and fast for oil to go above $140 a barrel...which is where Nigeria needs it to be.

PDP, Criticises Lai Mohammed Over $500 Million Loan For NTA is not even my problem, but for this man to say NTA will compete with like CNN, Hmmmmm I feel like weeping

I have said enough about this tragedy but what I wish to add is simple.

There was a time I argued hard and tried to persuade Nigerians of the need to have a National Assembly that was truly independent and capable of its Constitutional duty of checking the Executive. People argued that cooperation rather than confrontation was key to development. Here we are.

Time will always prove things.

When Nigerians are ready to get their goverment to fear and respect them then some progress might be possible. We as citizens are far too ignorant and incompetent to have a better goverment and experience a better tomorrow.
