A Syrian government helicopter has been shot down by Turkish-backed rebel groups in western Syria amid spiralling tensions in the region.

Video shows a Russian-made Mi-17 helicopter in flames somewhere near the town of Nerab, which was recently captured by government troops, before it breaks up and plummets from the sky.

I don't know what to think of this but that was a well-timed, perfectly captured, vivid video deserving of an Oscar.

I don't know what these people read but my Quran teaches me something different. “A good deed done to an animal is as meritorious as a good deed done to a human being, while an act of cruelty to an animal is as bad as an act of cruelty to a human being.” If my religion teaches me to be kind to animals then more is expected of me to a human?

Watched the video. The uncensored one I mean. In it you can see the body of the pilot. Dead and battered like a pig. The legs gone. A pity.
