This is a pre-election case brought by APC Heineken who lost primary.

By the judgement, APC has no candidate in the election as the joint ticket of Lyon and his deputy was considered unqualified. It is as good as APC did not field any candidate. Hence the second candidate which is PDP is declared winner.

Reason why due diligence is done by parties is to avoid issues like this.

PDP case was post election which the Court rejected under d guise that they filed after 14 days, but this pre election case filed by angry APC candidate cost his party the position.

I'm sure Heineken is decamping to PDP immediately. He is d Hero of this judgement

APC presented ineligible Candidates and were disqualified as per the law,end of story..

I absolutely agree! However, APC won the election according to the polls, not PDP. Is it right to declare PDP winner of APC presented the wrong candidates? Shouldn’t the flag bearers be vacated and the party asked to replace them?
