there is one spicy tasting powder like that my late father use to eat rice back then while I was little. over time before I became adult he already stop using it.

but I still know the taste/scent in my taste and sense bud.

last night I had a dream I was about to eat rice and i was sprinkling the powder on the rice and the scent of it was so real like in real life, it was a memorylane. when I woke up it was amazing as i can still remember that stuff. it was something of over 27years ago.

I really don't know the name but it is usually in one small tiny long container.

Can't remember. I used to like the odour of the yeast powder. Just like you, even as I type now I remember it so distinctly. I think it's extinct now, even if you find it, it may not be as good as they make it those days.
