Surname

Local government

State of origin

Maiden name

Was no way linked to any digital I.D since many years of sim registration?

Nbote u spoke my mind.

So have they been able to trace him 2 find out what kind of business he does or is he a possible threat to d society...?
Or this just for information sake?

So many issues to tackle I.e tracing and tracking bandits, kidnappers calls to enable arrest...

Don't mind them. Isn't that the network problem to start with. Imagine to retrieve a line cost #1000 to #1500 and buying a new sim is #150 or free in some places. Won't people just opt to get a new sim everytime their phone is stolen?

Let's not criminalize everything. Many people take advantage of 2-3 months' double data bonus offered by service providers for new sim cards by discarding a sim card after the expiration of the awoof period and buying a new one so as to continue to enjoy the offer. Some people heavy internet surfers have multiple sim cards of many service providers in order to be online always.
It is still wrong! No sane nation does that.

U didn't see the network at fault? Did he not pay for the sims? So long all the sims can be traced to him that is not a problem. He may have needs for 100sims.

Exactly! The service providers would force a customer to buy N1000 recharge card just because he wants to retrieve his line

With the national id and bvn, its very easy to create a database 4 everyone but these dumb fvcks are only interested in frustrating people.

They should stop telecom companies from deregistering people's lines, afterall we bought the sims with our money, there4 its our properties.

CHISOS! shocked sad shocked

This is how it is done in saner climes.
Over there, 95% of their population keep one phone to their names.
It is very very unlikely that you see an individual with 2 phones, not to talk about 3 PHONES!

Slow and steady we will get to a New and better Nigeria that we voted for.

This is a very good step in the right direction.

God bless Nigeria.

They should just link this thing with our BNV so we can move onto greater issues like inadequate jobs and Securities issues.

Question is were all 57 SIM cards registered the same day? Are they all still active on the network? Has the SIM card numbers been reassigned to other users? The minister is not asking the right questions it seems. Just rushing to try justifying lock down of 3 Sims to one user policy

The network is to blame not the individual. Many people may have needs for multiple Sims. Someone operating a transport company with fleet of cars may require sim card in every single car for the sole purpose of tracking.

Also with kidnapping very rife in almost everywhere, parent may installed trackers in their kids bag, shoes etc. There are also sim enabled CCTVs. So if I have 100 of those on my property, Im going to need 100 Sims.

There are several and genuine needs for multiple sims. What is important is to be able to trace all the Sims to the person. If he paid for them he commits no crime. There's no sim limits placed on anybody.

People don't have time to retrieve SIM CARDS just use, loss the phone and dump, things like that happen, that's why SIM sales is a moving market
