Protesters Attack Douye Diri's House, Destroy Property by Nobody: 1:41pm On Feb 14, 2020

Angry protesters suspected to be members of All Progressives Congress (APC) have attacked the residence of PDP candidate during the November 16, 2019 governorship election and now Governor elect, Senator Douye Diri over the Supreme Court Judgement which ousted the candidate of APC, Chief David Lyon on Friday.

The protesters, who had earlier on Friday barricaded the streets of Yenagoa in protest of the judgement, later went violent destroying property of some PDP chieftains.

They destroyed the windscreen of cars packed at the premises of the governor-elect, doors and windows at the residence. People who were around at the premises said they had to scamper for safety, when the hoodlums came visiting.

They also attacked the public library belonging to the member representing Yenagoa and Kolokuma/Opokuma federal constituency in the National Assembly, Prof Steve Azaiki, PDP Secretariat in Yenagoa and radio Bayelsa station.

PDP protested & are still protesting the controversial Supreme court ruling on the Imo guber case but nothing was destroyed but because Bayelsa will not go their way today, imagine the magnitude of destruction.

From the public nuisance bonfires, obstruction of traffic flow on major highway across the state, destruction @ Bayelsa Radio & now this latest one.You dont expect anything good from APC.Their five years of ruling Nigeria is telling.

Gov Diri please forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. However, use the Bayelsa fund to repair, replace or refund whatsoever destroyed. Show them sense.

Waste of time. The Money that they will use to govern then will be used to buy bigger properties to replace those destroyed. By the time State budget is read live during presentation and budget allocations highlighted at their launching, then their eye go clear. Destroying more of those properties will open way for contracts worth billions of Naira for PDP stalwarts and their contractors

APC party of violent and destruction, they spreads hate, frustration and anger anywhere they goes.

PDP has been protesting for the past weeks without any anyone getting a single scratch.
