Good day everyone .

Please I need your inputs regarding the stated cars. I love both, but I don't know the best alternative to go for. I'm looking at efficiency, robust build, long lasting, maintenance, and don't like stories that touch the heart because it's for my wife.

I really would appreciate your feedbacks

Thanks

Civic all the way! It is better in terms of durability, engine performance, fuel consumption, ease of repair, availability of spare part, maintenance. The civic has a very low fuel consumption level.

Hyundai Elantra is a heavy car and is in the same league as Honda Accord.

Civic and corolla are in the level. Light and compact.

If you want more power, go for Elantra.

If fuel economy is your goal, go for Civic

Both are very durable models and great choices.

I used the '08 Elantra straight out of the factory for almost 4 years, 2.0 litre engine, leather seats, auto climate control a/c, 10 airbags. Extraordinary car. I solemnly tell you that its fuel efficiency makes the corolla people always scream about look shameful. Its fast, very very rugged and has affordable and plenty spare parts.
Yes I didn't own a civic but I had several colleagues who did and they always bowed to my Elantra on those weekends we swapped cars to attend events together.
Both cars are good, but I humbly submit that its a travesty to compare the '07-'11 to anything Asian in it's class.

Mazda 3, Corolla, Sentra, Elantra and Civic are all in the same category. An Elantra is no match for an Accord. I'm guessing you mean a Sonata grin (Even that will struggle to hold its own against an Accord, talkless of a Camry)

Point of correction, Hyundai Elantra is not in the same league with an accord.

You misunderstand me, I'm talking of an Elantra been mentioned in the same breath with an Accord. I'm telling you that the Sonata is in the same category with an Accord/Camry.

This is not a comparison between a Camry or an Accord!

Hyundai Elantra 2008 all the way for me.
Reliability, Fuel economy and driving experience is top notch for me (maybe because I've pimped mine sha).
I have friends that went for civic and camry (2005) during same period and it has outlasted both.
However, NOTE THAT THIS CAR DOESN'T TAKE ABUSE. Stick to OEM config and parts.
Make i go buy car door sill plates, sport grille and rear spoiler to continue my pimping.
