sicily4u:300k doesn't guarantee you'll be in Turkey, you should have other source of fund at hand or Bank that can keep you going (don't carry excess amount of money) |

I’m going to Turkey next month . So many misleading comments on this thread , but I found one or two people who is saying the same thing my brother in Turkey said too. Listen! Turkey is a great country , cheap food and cheap rents. My brother is less than 1yr there and he’s fine and wants me to come over too. Getting a residence permit is super easy too. Besides, Turkey is 10000times better than Nigeria. If you have the opportunity, my brother move!!! You might fight it hard and strenuous at first but trust me. It’s worth it! Nigeria is Dead !!! 9 Likes |

Amadioha02: My childhood friend is in USA and I know what he’s going through but he can’t disclose it to even his family . Cos they won’t understand , one thing I’m sure of is . All European countries are far far better than Nigeria. Yes, you will definitely struggle for sometime , but it will always worth the suffering 5 Likes |

Guy even me too, mine is 1.2million naira through my agent. My visa will be out next week hopefully. Honestly I know 3 people who are in turkey and doing very well. One of them was my couremate but dropped out. He just finished his duplex in the village last December. His family is in Port Harcourt but he frequents home. The other is just a small boy of 28 years doing really good. Has two houses right now. No country is an Eldorado but believe me you can't compare Nigeria to turkey. Nigeria is burning. chokas: 3 Likes |

Joecrane: What if they are into drugs? They won't tell you that. 1.2m is too much for Turkey visa that you can get yourself. Except you mean that they will present forged documents. 3 Likes |

I was in Turkey (Ankara) with friends for two weeks late last year. Turkey is like Nigeria in lots of ways, it has a huge population, its massive, and Turkish are generally business minded. The major cities are crowded and every corner is packed with businesses from small to large. I was in touch with the Nigerian community and from my observations, most of the Nigerians are running their own business, such as buying and importing to Nigeria, or English teachers. I met some students as well, but overall, teaching seems to be what many, if not most do. The minimum wage in Turkey is about 350-400 USD monthly, but I believe you will earn more if you are not focused on jobs, but running your business. When I was there, I met a black American that own a language school, teaching businessmen and executives and earns handsomely. This is a niche that you can tap into, and with time, when it's clear you are good at what you do, you will earn bountifully. Turkey is not your typical hustling ground in my view, it is a conservative Muslim country. Also, the Turks are quite friendly, you will feel like home there, at least for me. Goodluck. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Amadioha02:The worst part of it is that he has already made arrangements to arrest me with SARS once I come back to Owerri. I came back to Owerri on Thursday and went to see visit my shop so at about 7:10 PM I left to a friends house and spent some time there. Barely 30minutes I left the Shop my boy called to warn me that The Man came with three heavily armed Men to look for me. |
