There is no way preaching Jesus could ever be mistaken for preaching doom and hate. What you are communicating to people is fear. The gospel is good news all around. Fear of 'end times', 'rapture', and hell is never an instrument for spreading the good news.

Rapture shouldn't be what determines if you are preaching the good news. What's good news about fear, death, sicknesses and diseases? If what you are preaching only gives your members a certain sense of inadequacy before God, it's a huge sign of identity crisis. The gospel is joyous in all its forms; the revelation of the immortal essence of believers in Christ here and now.

You are preaching 'another gospel' if this isn't your message.
