SLAP44:As if hood winking the public and the Supreme Court would bring Ihedioha back...... Ihedioha did not win last governorship election in Imo state despite his massive vote rigging in his federal constituency. He did not win the 25% votes in 18 of the 27 LGAS of Imo state. You can confuse the public from here to the Supreme Court, it will not bring back Ihedioha as governor of Imo state. |

I see a rerun in those units, which should have been the wise judgement but instead the SC played into the hands of Uzodinma. |

kahal29:A careful reading of this response by APC shows the party knew there are irregularities of fundamental nature in the supreme Court judgement on the I'm elections matter but since those irregularities were not directly the point of uzodima's appeal the supreme Court should overlook it n stick to their very flawed judgement because it suit Apc,how on Earth can you have a result where only uzodima's votes are recorded, where the votes cast supercede the registered voters n yet you expect it to be accepted with out questions been asked, but I don't blame Apc rather I blame the supreme Court for their very poor foresight n analysis before deciding y a judgement. |

Deepthoughts:Bros, there's no LGA in Imo state where the number of votes cast was higher than number of registered voters. I'm so sure you are referring to number of accredited voters being less than the number of votes cast, and if that's what you meant to say, I will quickly have to remind you that in all the 3 LGAs in Mbaise, Ihedioha alone recorded more votes than the number of accredited voters for those locations (exclusive of votes cast for other party candidates). This votes were validated with the use of incident forms for those concerned in those polling booths as against card reader based accreditation. Let's cut this guy some slack, Imo belongs to all of us and no one is more Imo than the others, what we need in Imo state is good governance, name of the person bringing it or his geographical location does not matter. |

The Supreme Court based its ruling on erroneously exceeded the Total Accredited Voters by INEC in the elections, Senator Hope Uzodinma may also not have fulfilled the Constitutional requirements for a validly elected Governor of having to score at least one-quarter of all the votes cast in each of at least two-thirds of all the Local Government Areas in the State. The ruling also raised the question of double standard in the supreme Court judgement “If their Lordships have already declared Uche Nwosu as the validly elected candidate, of APC, it’s then illogical to again declare Hope Uzodinma as the validly elected governor on the platform of same APC, since there’s no provision for independent candidate in the Nigerian constitution, “Since, it’s not possible to build something on nothing, it may amount to approbation and reprobation on the part of the Apex Court to declare Uzodinma whose candidature of the APC has been initially rendered a nullity. |

FrankFrenzy:Stop saying what u don’t know. The following are from two of the most reputable newspapers in Nigeria not some political hacks: ——————- Guardian. Monday, January 27, 2020 (Remember these numbers exclude votes scored by the other 68 Parties!): • Ruling is miscarriage of justice, say lawyers • How apex court failed in votes computation ...The Guardian obtained a certified-true-copy of the record of the appeal filed at the Supreme Court by Uzodinma and APC... On figure number 69 which shows votes cast at Eziama/Okpala (Umualum Village Square, Eziama) total number of registered voters =492, whereas the APC scored 819 votes and PDP scored 7 votes, meaning 334 more votes than registered voters! On page 22 of the record, at the polling unit 285 (Obudi/Aro, Central Assembly Square), registered voters = 449 APC polled 780 votes PDP polled four votes, leaving a total of 335 votes higher than the actual number of registered voters. Also on page 22 of the petition, polling unit 282 number of registered voters = 591, APC polled 586 votes PDP nine votes, indicating a total of four votes higher than the registered number of voters. Figures from page 79 of the record of appeal show: Registered voters = 526 APC got 526 votes, while PDP was credited with two votes, indicating two votes higher than the total number of registered voters in the area.” ———————————- Vanguard. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 Imo Guber: How Supreme court erred in computation of results *Declared more votes than accredited voters *Failed to interrogate petitioners’ evidence *Avoided mentioning figures in a written judgment Facts have emerged that the Supreme Court failed to do a thorough mathematical computation of the results of the election but relied only on the wrong computations submitted by Sen. Hope Uzodinma to declare him the duly-elected governor of Imo State... Both the EPT and the Appeal Court dismissed the petition for lacking in merit. By relying on the faulty tabulation made by Sen. Uzodinma, the Supreme Court arrived at a figure of 950,952 total votes cast at the election, which is more than the total votes cast at the election totalling 823,743. This gave rise to 127,209 excess votes at the election as affirmed by the Supreme Court, which all through avoided mentioning figures regarding the votes cast for the disputants or the total registered voters and valid and invalid votes in the judgment. |

SammyChi1988:International what? Did the international know that all legal teams to the petition exhausted their arguments before the Supreme Court judgement? Did they know Emeka Ihedioha first started rigging of votes in his home constituency? Did the international know that Ihedioha didn't win governorship election in Imo state, didn't meet the constitutional requirement of 25% of votes in 2/3 of the number of local government areas of Imo state, yet INEC declared Ihedioha winner? Your international didn't know that APC controlled Imo state before the election, and that PDP never won Imo governorship election after 2003. |

CanadaOrBust:Summary of events in Imo: PDP massively rigged the votes in Ihedioha's federal constituency, yet Ihedioha did not meet the constitutional requirement to be declared winner. INEC erroneously pronounced Ihedioha elected. Supreme Court judges pronounced judgement based on arguments from lawyers of all sides, and based on figures before them. Ihedioha now turns around and says: oh, Uzodinma presented false votes. |
