It's okay to feel this way,but not getting the job isn't the end of the world,at 24 you are still within the limit for any GT job..pick up yourself and try again...every morning when the sun rises shows that's there's hope for a brighter day..God bless you...

Homeboy! I totally understand your pain. I'm happy you were confident enough to share what you are going through with people you don't even know. We all have that thing we secretly battle. If i share my life experience with you, in it, you would find a reason to be thankful. If there's anything I have learnt in life, it is: DON'T LOOK AT THE PEOPLE IN FRONT OF YOU, LOOK AT THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU. I have people who are doing better than I am, and those that are praying to be like me. It's just the cycle of life! You see this NNPC job, I had high hopes too, but I didn't get the job. As a human being, I had every right to be sad, but I am faithful enough to know that I am not in charge of the PLANNING AND EXECUTION of my life events. All i have to make is efforts, every other thing is left for God. I urge you to pick yourself up, find that thing that makes you happy, look at the people you are doing better than and thank God. Don't read my comment to be mean. The message is, at 24, you still have a lot of opportunities ahead of you. You should not let the present predicament to blindfold you from seeing what lies ahead of you.

At 19, I got admitted into the uni after 3 years of leaving school. I really don't want to start narrating my predicament... It's of no use. I believe some people's case is worst than mine. No be me suffer most. But instead of resorting to self pity, I would rather start thinking of the next plan of action.

I tell you, I wish I can swap your age with mine.

Don't resort to self pity. I can't tell you to stop grieving. You need it to heal properly. But then, ensure you get over it as soon as possible.

This is a problematic line of thought.

Humans are naturally emotional, but it is obvious which gender vent out easily.

Do not ignore your male relatives folks, these young men are seeing their mates engage in internet fraud and "doing things", but somehow everyone expects the man to be all made by 26.

This is not to spark any gender war. It is just to bring to our attention that so many young men are going through a lot, that is why it is easy for them to engage in drugs, internet fraud, cultism and other nefarious activities (to escape the pain/pressure) as most senior Bros who have past through the system(and should reach out) would ordinarily expect other folks to survive the hustle and come out strong as they did.

I lost a cousin few years ago to suicide, barely 18 years and that has scarred me, maybe that's why I have a special interest on this issue.

Let's reach out to younger ones coming after us whether male or female. The world and its attendant hustle is tough as it is.

Just a little care would go a long way ! Let love lead !

I was disappointed on Friday but when I heard about the technical glitch disperse error I decided to hold unto that ray of hope. But I guess it's time I move on.

I've had so many disappointments, so many, this one left me devastated, I never thought I could survive it but it seems I'm feeling better now.

I'll be 27 in July, doing my masters after several rejections from abroad scholarships.

After completing my NYSC in 2018, I couldn't even get a teaching job with my first class. This nnpc disappointment is so painful because I thought this was it, I was prepared for every question asked, I wasn't tensed at all, I know I did well but God knows why I was not successful.

If we haven't moved on. I think its best to do so now for one's mental state and one's heath.

Take a cold chill and move on. Everyone that went for the interview had a glimpse of hope that they would get the job.

Not getting this doesn't mean one is not smart or brilliant. Just that is not yet your time. He makes everything beautiful in His time.

The pressure alone one receive as a male is enough to commit suicide. A male old enough to get married and be fending for himself still staying with his parents without a job... And is now older than the age to apply for GT positions

I am even gifted with 2 boys...
No female yet...

My advise still reaches out to all GTs(male &female);
That were not successfully in this recruitment..
Nnpc is not the only route to having a successful career..

I was rejected by them in 2011/2012 recruitment..
I thought it's the end of the world.
I was frustrated..
I was dejected.
I was disappointed..

I dusted myself up.
God gifted me with a Federal job after the disappointment..
I got married..
I still went back to school(part time)
Have a M.Sc(Engineering)
Foreign Executive Masters in Project Mgt..
I am presently rounding up my P.hd..

I made myself still eligible to come back 7 years later to apply for supervisory position..

Where there is life..
There is hope..
Never give up on you dreams..

May God help us. I'm 28 already still lose ou in this requirement as well despite my mouthwatering qualification. Just focus on your Msc and once you are done apply for express entry into Canada. All the best Ma'm
