ABOUT LAST GRADUATE TRAINEE RECRUITMENT

The application came out in 2012 and prospective applicants applied for Graduate Trainee. In 2013, applicants were told to update their details. In 2014, applicants wrote their aptitude tests in different centres across the nation. Many people travelled from overseas to write the exam in Nigeria as there was no abroad centre, unlike NLNG. In February 2015, interview success emails flew in. And up till this moment, there were no interviews. The recruitment has now been cancelled officially with this new application. I hope this application does not follow the same route.

I'm still waiting for my interview invite.

Pray that this recruitment does not become "INCONCLUSIVE"

I hope the GMD will not tow the current trend where by after more than one year of recruitment, they will declare the exercise "inconclusive" and give one funny excuse of being under one form of pressure or the other from Senators and high-ranking government officials to hire their wards.

On the other hand, if you have a high-caliber network in the political sphere, now is the time to activate it. This is Nigeria and there would be a lot of political favoritism. Utilize your network effectively. Networking is not bad. It is bad when it is grossly abuse.

In oversea, Canada and UK, precisely, people get work through referral - I don't know if Referral here could still mean networking or nepotism in Nigeria context.

Anyway, prepare well, pray hard and network hard. Politicians kids are not doing anything now - they are all waiting for this kind of opportunity and most of them studied abroad.

If you do and it is within 2014 till date, you can apply. I also graduated 2010 but my MSc is 2017. I called the NNPC recruitment helpdesk and it was confirmed that I can apply since I have an advanced certificate from a tertiary institution that is not earlier than 2014

I’ll strongly advise you not to waste your time to apply. This is just mere formality, all the vacancies have been filled by candidates of the top political class who didn’t even apply or wrote any test before they got the job. All these charade is meant to shut you up about the noise being made that they don’t advertise vacancies.

just pick the earliest date which is 2014 for both bsc and nysc.
