As a copier, always check to know if the subject has been covered by a lot of persons. It is hasn't, pay people to write the chapters for you.

That's copying rule 101.
"It is hasn't" got me.

90% of final year projects of most Nigerian students are also plagiarized, most don't even do any research study, they just copy and paste then submit and boom, they are graduates taking selfies in NYSC camps and the circle of plagiarism continues ad infinitum.

The funny thing is some of us here in Nigeria, Our lecturers have plagiarized our first degree research project.

You will see a lecturer assign a new area of study for a brilliant student to sweat and toil over as final research project; all in the hope that once the student is scored A or B in the project, the lecturer proceeds to convert such research work to journal article and publish online.

Most students don't really care, they just want to score well and move on to promising careers outside the University, while the lecturers always use their work to help themselves.
Those student should care and even sue their lecturers, it is allowed.

Copying is not the problem. Copying without acknowledging the original author is the problem.

It's not that easy. It's supposed to be a Phd thesis. Your work has to be original. Just paraphrasing will not cut it.

There is nothing like plagiarism for undergraduate work

I know it is possible, but it would be hard.

For instance, the lecturer might have some of his own inputs in the work. It would be hard to tell which part of the work was plaigiarized.

Moreover, undergraduate projects are often regarded as mostly unoriginal, unlike master's and PhD thesis.

Many All of the undergraduate research works are always cross-sectional, rather than experimental. So, it is not like you are working on something largely new. You are just merely cross-examining.

Academic fraud and plagiarism is like robbing a bank. I spent 2 million naira on my M.Sc thesis alone and 5.1 million developing my PhD project. I sent 100 biological samples abroad for molecular tests and analysis.
If after this, someone simply steals this work of mine on which I staked a lot of pain and claim it as his work, I will not forgive. He has to be dealt with.

This is why it is very imperative to publish your work immediately after the thesis is complete. In my school you can no longer graduate with an M.Sc if you don't publish one research work, for a PhD you publish two before your final defense.

It is only when the lecturer did not include the student's name in the journal article published from the project work that it becomes wrong but trying to attribute the whole work as that of the student solely makes no sense because in most cases it's the lecturer that gives the student the research topic and idea and guides him throughout the research period, telling him how to go about the methodology, correcting the write ups etc.

Why didn't u tell the guy to bring it down jejely
Too late for that. The guy was already awarded a Phd based on that Thesis. Just taking off the internet would not have been enough. There was a possibility that she could have been accused of plagiarizing the man's 'work'.

Re: Aisha Balarabe Bawa's Thesis Plagiarized By Amos Ngaruiya, A Kenyan Lecturer by Ademoore07(m):
I still don't understand how this criminal couldn't develop his own research from others and acknowledging the real author.

Most importantly, universities don't used to publish thesis. You can compose a manuscript for a journal in your name. In that case, not all what you have in your thesis will be in the approved journal.

The man was just lazy. Simple paraphrasing would have helped.

And lastly, I don't think there's a research that had never be performed by any other authors. The most important part of any research is "Contribution to knowledge" of your work. It's simply a development of what an author must had worked on.

Please someone should help me out. I Just registered for my final year study yesterday.

But my biggest nightmare since 2016 that I got admitted to the Varsity is PROJECT. I'm so awful when it concerns Researching.

Just last week I made up my mind that I'll just patronize the Project seller here in NL. But seeing this, fear don catch me as I don't want anything that will dent my image in the near future.

Biko, Dear Niaralanders, How do I go about this project stuffs? where do I start from? I'm so bad at it I need guidelines, starting from selecting the project topic. Please help out.

My colleagues here in the Varsity has cleaning up my mess.

Anytime group assignments is given. We do division of Labour. They'll source out information and compile it, then I will study it and present (I'm averagely good at this one)
