He never said anything about it and by the way according to what he explained Amotekun is not community policing, rather it's a form of sub police though without the name 'police' attached so as to not be considered illegal by the constitution.

According to him, community policing involves people giving information to the police and not necessarily a new security outfit for the community. Community policing according to him involves bringing the Nigerian police force closer to the community and not necessarily creating a new 'police' outfit to cater for the community. Hope you get the difference, please try watch the video before you start insulting him.

You seem to understand the views or message of Senator Ekweremadu.

some contributors in this thread unfortunately misunderstood Senator Ekweremadu views on the security outfits. They concluded that he was against Amotekun or he was supporting the federal government against Amotekun and Shege Ka Fa.

I respect Senator Ekweremadu because he is truly in support of devolution of federal powers, decentralization of government business, restructuring and regional government.

Senator Ekweremadu in most of his contribution has been an advocate of restructuring and the establishment of a true peoples constitution to replace the miltary imposed 1999 constitution.

I think Senator Ekweremadu sighted community policing to let the south west and other region know that the federal government is on a mission to deceive them with legal technicalities and existing federal laws in the Nigerian constitution.
