https://punchng.com/nff-shortlists-two-local-coaches-for-falcons-job/ Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation, Bitrus Bewarang, says two local coaches have been shortlisted for the vacant Super Falcons coaching job. In a chat with our correspondent, Bewarang also revealed that seven other coaches have also been listed for the roles of goalkeeper trainer and assistant coach. “Other teams’ appointment will be announced soon. The NFF has commissioned a company to do some of the work, we are just trying to step in because some of the teams have competitions that are very close; that is why we are doing what we are doing. “We made recommendations and until I have approval before I can present to the public,” he added. |

andrewbaba44:This is the major reason i don't want any club legend in the guise of Steven Gerrard coming back to coach Liverpool. Some of these English coaches are very sentimental. I'd take a foreigner (after Klopp's reign) than any English club legend. |

Zach Lowy called him Canada's Next Big thing. But someone reminded him that Canadian football hasn't exactly had a Big Thing before so he could be Canada's first Big Thing. Looooooollllll.... ![]() He is special and super fast. Love him. And love that he has learnt so quickly from David Alaba at Bayern coz I understand they have fine rapport indeed. He and Jonathan David can really make Canada a stronger force than they have always been within North American football. Davies is also another pointer to a fast/skillful left footed winger/MF who excels as a LB. Just like Saka. ![]() BascoVanVeli: |

Heracles Almelo Goal Poacher Gets Newly Issued Nigerian Passport Ahead Of Potential Cap-tying Game Heracles Almelo goal poacher Cyriel Dessers could become cap-tied to three-time African champions Nigeria next month. According to Het Belang van Limburg, nothing stands in the way of Dessers playing for the West African giants after securing a Nigerian passport on Tuesday. Born in Tongeren to a Belgian father and Nigerian mother twenty-five years ago, the striker qualifies to represent Nigeria if the granny rule is invoked by the Nigeria Football Federation. He was an unused substitute when Belgium beat Moldova 2-1 in a European U21 Championship qualifier back in March 2015, a game that would have seen him become provisionally cap-tied to his country of birth if he had featured. If Dessers earns a call-up to the Super Eagles for their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double header against Sierra Leone and plays in any of the games even for one second, he would no longer be able to represent Belgium internationally. The former KSC Lokeren and Oud-Heverlee Leuven starlet has been involved in an astonishing 24 goals (18 goals, 6 assists) in 27 appearances across all competitions this term. **Ifeanyi Emmanuel Source: ANS

andrewbaba44:beating them is another thing because in football anything can happen, this Bayern team can also lose against Koln, it's just football. but I must say Barca will only beat them with an element of luck but they will be outplayed. My problem with this season's man City is that they are inconsistent couple with their injury issues especially defensively |

Forget inconstitency,Bayern has been also inconstitent ,thanks to Leipzig for dropping point for Bayern to top ,Bayern have been 3/4th in the table for long period before they climb to first place |

BascoVanVeli:there is a scenario of defending a player with sense....being defensive shouldn't rob you of the guts to point at his/her errors and ask for him to be dropped when it is obvious that he is not living up to expectations. mind you...just because some of us here don't rate some players or belong to the catgory that defend plAyers and coaches with strict objectivity does not mean they hate the players okay stop trying to paint me a vilian that I hate TIjani Oshimen (for those who never wAnted his inclusion at that time) Ighalo (when he was not delivering in the super eagles I belong to this school then) Imama Aigbogun even Yobo simply because some of us said he does not merit the job and his engagement gonna set some dangerous precedents in the NFF and please don't take arguments and disagreements here to heart we all don't reason in same way and such we are bound to disagree sometimes hope your day is going on well do enjoy your Wednesday |

Yes. They all count. Official games for another nation at U-17, U-18, U-19 all the way up to U-21 levels will always require a switch of allegiance of that individual no longer wanna rep that nation but his other choice if he has dual/triple/multiple nationality links. Had Dessers played in that official game at U-21 level, he would have required a switch. Thankfully that is not the case for him. LaMujer: |

You garrit my man Basco. That "annoying" Pacy stubborn young man wey dey bang in goals like say tomorrow no dey almost every time he came in for Awo. Na him be that. LolThat Guy do Taiwo Awoniyi strong thing for Gent no be small. But the lad is very decent. He is even the top scorer in the Belgian league right now. Canada can really get it going in the Concacaf with these two as their Arrowhead figures in combination with other decent talents they've got like veteran Scott Arfield (Aribo's teammate at Rangers), and even Hoilett Junior. But Shaa.. USA too no dey sleep. They've got fine young blood coming through like Mckennie (21) at Schalke, Pulisic (21) at Chelsea as we all know, Gio Reyna (17) at Dortmund, Tyler Adams (21) at RB Leipzig, Timothy Weah (20) at Lille, Josh Sargent (20) at Wolfsburg, Segino Dest (19) at Ajax Armstedam and more. In all, It's good for Concacaf football as the dual dominance of USA and Mexico in that continent will surely be challenged even stronger by the steady rise of Canadian football. BascoVanVeli: |

Subzero047:They annihilated Spuds AT home yet you're coming up with this excuse? Do you what it means to score 7(S-E-V-E-N) AWAY especially against a team like Spuds. They are inconsistent but those guys will definitely win the ucl in the next 3-4 seasons. |

If all goes well, I foresee in the not-so-distant future, a fine competitive GK cast of Uzoho, Alampasu, Maduka Okoye and that kid in Israel, Adebayo (if he keeps growing as hoped) giving us rest in the role between the sticks for years to come. Other fine "unknown"/known young hands are already making their ways up little by little for the future beyond the future. Dele Alampasu Vows – I’ll Be Back In Super Eagles Soon Newly signed Ventspils of Latvia goalkeeper Dele Alampasu says he will be back in the Super Eagles in a not too distant future and claim the number one spot from Francis Uzoho. Alampasu joined Ventspils after spending a year without a club following his exit from Portuguese side CD Feirense at the expiration of his contract He now want to establish himself at the Latvian side as first choice goalkeeper. ”The aim is to take it one step at a time. I want to be first choice at Ventspils then we can now take it from there. It’s a whole new experience for me and I am glad with all that the team has shown me so far. The set up is very professional”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com. ”About the senior national team of Nigeria, that the long term goal but it starts at Ventspils. I have promised myself that my international career is far from over. I will stage a return in a big way and hopefully claim the number one spot”. The present first choice goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria Francis Uzoho was third choice behind Alampasu who was voted the best goalkeeper at the 2013 Under -17 World Cup. Uzoho has however experienced a career growth that has catapulted him to the position of first choice of the Nigeria team. Source: OGN

We won twice and lost twice. Where dem wan rape? The fact they even struggled against small boys and expired legs showed that Bayern is not good enough.
