Not really true... I taught myself how to ride one.. I didn't get hurt..

You will only get hurt if your teacher sucks at teaching

Absolutely right. The scars are like your licence..... Evidence for your training. I have some scars on my back palm, and one on my palm itself. Once has a deep cut there. Was doin stuntnon a busy road, trying to maintain a perfect straight line while on top speed. A sharp elevated ground was what was needed to know me off balance, as I was sent diving into the unwelcoming air. I cushioned my impact on the ground with my palm, which gave me the deep cut. Thank God no vehicle behind me.
Another statyenyoyncant escape cuts and injuries ow when learning stunt. I don use head knack ground tire before I could successfully learn How to pedal with the front wheel suspended in the air, over a long distance. Same with cycling with my two hands in the air (not holding the handle). A step up was when I started teaching myself to turn left and right without hold the bicycle while cycling, and bumping into pot holes without holding the handle. Great skill is needed here, else you lose balance).
When you final decide to learn, remind me to teach you some techniques while applying your brakes, esp the front brake (wn abuse of this brake is a seductive invitation to nasty scars)

I taught myself too. Got some scars cause I held on to the bicycle handles too hard, and it sometimes bruises my palm esp when I want to switch gears. Now, I have learn to pad it with foam, and also hold with less grip

This tree, Flame of the forest, named so because of it's bright red flowers especially during pollination. It was in my secondary school. I would plant in my personal compound as soon as I can afford one.
