Rebecca, the mother of Leah Sharibu, the Dapchi schoolgirl kidnapped by the Boko Haram insurgents, said the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), called her seven months after the abduction of her daughter. The President, he said, assured her of Leah’s quick release.

Two weeks after the President called, Rebecca said three ministers also visited her home and assured her of the President’s commitment to Leah’s safe return.

Leah Sharibu and over 100 female students of the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi in Yobe State were kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents in 2018.

While the insurgents released some of the girls, Leah Sharibu was held captive by the terrorist group and was reported to have been forcefully married to an insurgent.

By February 2, 2020, Leah had spent two years with the insurgents.

Leah’s mother in an interview on the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation, monitored in Kaduna on Thursday, said she was in London to seek assistance for the release of her daughter, Buhari having failed to do so as promised.

It is begining to look like Leah is not going to be released.

I have a suspicision (unfounded) that the government knows where she is...but if they go in there guns a blazing the jihadi pigs will kill her straightaway. Negotiation on the other hand has not worked obviously.

That's the problem with Boko Haram, and why I blame every Nigerian leader past and present for creating this monster by not pursuring polices that would have guaranteed job creation for all since independence. Instead, na to share money they know. And those left out of the sharing become prey for the Bokoists...and see where we are.

Infact, Northern governors and LG chairmen should sit up in particular.Before the monster consumes them whole (as it is already doing)_

Print media, electronic media and social media are really helping Boko haram in terms of publicity..
Because Boko haram knew how divided we are on socioreligion believe, they are using it to achieve their cheap publicity goal.
With Leah Sharabu, Boko haram have gained more attention.

For crying out loud, Buhari cannot be everywhere

As president, he has other things to worry about (I am not sure what those things are because Nigeria isn't getting any better though)
