He was standing outside, at a distance of more than 2 metres when he was talking to the patient. He wasn't under any risk. Furthermore, the patient is no longer coughing and sneezing.

Those who go into the room to interact with the patient wear protective gear, but he was not in the room at the time that he was talking to the patient.

Is this not the same doctor with the commissioner talking with the man?

By the way, saying no more than 2 meters is needed to safely stay away from an airborne infection is defective and misleading since the transfer rate is sensitive to air draft, fans etc. A doctor wouldn't come out and start encouraging the people to do away with the masks so long they are outside of 2 metres from the infected person. Does it mean that Nigerians should start carrying about metre rules to measure the safe distance? How many ordinary Nigerians can safely gauge what 2 m is?

He is no more than someone seeking cheap attention. Use your masks. Forget about the misleading 2 m. If the wind conditions change very slightly, airborne coronavirus will reach much farther distances. And the mask is not just to prevent you from inhaling airborne infectious agents, it is also a practical way to discourage people from putting their hands to the mouth and the nose. Once your hand touches the mask you are likely going to be reminded of the need to wash your hands before taking it to the mouth.

I believe prevention is better than cure. 2metres or whatever shouldn't be an argument. We are trying to contain the spread of the virus.

That was what came to my mind. If the film truly represent how she handle the case, she was a kind of overconfident. According to the film, it was to late by the time she allowed herself to be tested, the moment the doctor saw her in the ambulance, he knew immediate that she has it.
