I agree......You see this judgement is like playing penalty-kicks in the world cup finals.

Even the question he asked Agabi was strange;

If we set aside the judgement, what do you want us to do?

Don't ever compare Bayelsa with Imo. PDP never went to court to say they won. They only said the wrong person was used for the election. Imo us a clear case of robbery. There is no Time and Jerry here.- If you thief I thief.

. The SC accepted that votes belonging to APC were wrongly excluded. If added APC has more votes than the PDP.The APC is therefore the winner. It is the duty of the INEC to go back and do the addition of the other parties' votes for their future record. If there are irregularities in the addition INEC should provide answers to them. The Supreme court judgement is still in order unlike Bayelsa where SC usurped the role of electorate on deciding who would rule in the state.

Don't betray emotions here by saying SC usurped. You should know better as a lawyer on how a deed poll or change of name(s) is done.

I don't expect that from you.

Let's stay on Imo...what about the constitutional spread? Insignificant?

What you guys don't understand is that Imo case has generated much international interest and the Supreme Court judges are cautious not to cause more damages to Nigeria. Which foreign investors will like to invest in a country whose Supreme Court is dishing out ridiculous judgements?

The truth is this:
They are handicapped. Imo is always a wahala case.
Same with Ararume v pdp..
Ohakim v Okorocha

I am just thinking about the argument that will be going on between 7 of them now.

The judgement they will deliver will be very very contentious whichever way. Let me just see who will read the lead judgement first.

Most likely, Inyang or Dattijo.... grin

Inyang is in the Panel but Datijo I don't think so. Besides I have noticed that the CJN don't normally include him in any panel he is presiding including Centus Nweze and Odili

Here are the adverse fallouts if that embarrassment of a judgement in Imo is let stand.
State the adverse fallouts from Bayelsa

(1) U can no longer tell Nigerians that lying and cheating does not pay when they can see for themselves that the highest court in the land rewards blatant cheating and forgery.
(2) By the precedent set there, any candidate able to obtain INEC documents (usually ruling party candidates) can write any result they wish and the Supreme Court must accept those results no matter how fraudulent or defective they may be, inevitably leading to a one-party country

One thing I also don't like about this set of SC judges is:

Everything is unanimous.

The days of Kutigi, Katsina-Alu, Onnoghen, Uwais and co...
You will see dissenting judgements with legal or supposed legal backings.

Even when it's unanimous, you will see different interpretations and logic from all sides.

Took me back to the case of Ohakim v Okorocha, Ngwuta took the lead judgement. It was unanimous but if you read Odili's judgement, Adekeye's ....Kai.

Law will be delicious to even a law profession-hater.

The most surprising thing of all these is that Hope Usodinma was not a candidate of the said election. Supreme Court said so.

Who replaced Amiru Sanusi? You even corrected me when it appeared on fp....Inyang was on file paper but replaced last min by Datijo (no reasons given)

Centus Nweze's wife was appointed I think registrar (or Dep. Registrar) at the Enugu State High Court by Gov Ugwuanyi( infact, they are from the same LGA...Udenu)and his submissions are always academic. He is a PhD holder and if you read law reports, his judgements are always voluminous.

The guy is very good and my personal opinion is that I don't think the CJN is favourably disposed to having him in his panel because of his views. He prefers those Augie and the rest. I may be wrong but this what I noticed.

Inyang Okoro replaced Sanusi

Those ones are docile and can easily be manipulated because they are new to the SC.

Uwani Abba Aji was promoted to the SC 2018 or 2019 under this CJN. She has to respect Oga. She is from the NE like him.

Amina Augie should have been PCA now but she is also new to the SC.

. Saying SC usurped the role of the electorate does mean the its judgement is not in order .APC foolishly played into the hand of SC.When this occurred SC reserves the right to do the needful on the matter. So it finally became the electorate on deciding the winner because of the foolishness of Bayelsa APC and inconsistencies in the identification of Lyons deputy.
