Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) has said the judgment sacking Oshiomhole as national chairman will be set aside. According to him, the issue is a political quarrel between politicians which a judge shouldn’t have dabbled into. On the argument that the Edo state chapter has suspended Oshiomhole, Sagay said it is subject to debate as another faction of APC executives in Edo said he was not suspended. “I think it is totally undesirable political intervention in a political matter. If politicians try to drag a judge into their political quarrel, it will be extremely foolish for the judge to jump in feet first as if he is a child. It is not a matter the court should dabble into at all since it is purely a political matter”. “The whole thing is political. They said the state chapter suspended him. Which one is the state chapter? If you go to Edo state now, you will find those who say he was not suspended, you will also find others who said he is on suspension.It is just a political quarrel that is not subject to any judicial intervention. I don’t think that judgment will last long at all. It is obviously going to be set aside”. hisexcellency34:the court will vacate the useless order because it is a mere academic exercise. Federal high Court of Abuja have already ruled against those that claimed they have suspended oshomole in his ward. |
