My dear, it doesn't work like that in public health. There is always a balance between cost and success rate, both in disease prevention and treatment. If a strategy will be very expensive yet cannot guarantee success, then it won't be deployed.

It should also be noted that as worrisome as the transmission of COVID-19 is, it only has about 3% mortality rate so far. You don't expect the US to spend millions of dollars in airport screening when there is no certainty of picking up infected people, for a disease with such a reduced mortality rate.

We have not even seen the face of the patient since the said outbreak of the virus in Nigeria.
