Our time, orientation camp was in Gumel, Gumel local government area- i think Government Science Sec Schl Gumel. The illetracy level in Jigawa is embarrassing. I will always remember Jigawa as the poorest state in Nigeria. #GoodMemoirs OP

Don't worry it is not too late, for just #3000 we can get you a genuine medical report and you can go to mami market to print it out. We will also guide you on how to defend it during screening. If all goes well by the end of the camp you will be in the state of your choice.

I had 2 reorient myself as per 1st hand experience I'm avin, based on mostly wia I am presently serving as corp member of 18C1 here in Kano state, Ajingi/Gaya precisely (My actual L.G. been Ajingi, but my PPA accommodation is situated @ Gaya).
Dia lifestyle ova here in d North, based on wia I am in particular has been a wonderful, simple one. Dey can boast of giving high rate of hospitality, most especially 2 corper. Corpers are been treated wif respect nd high regard compare 2 SW. I cud agree wif most of wat d OP said abt dia lifestyle dia at Jigawa state as I cud relate it wif village life here in Kano state. D stunts we do pulled most time here are been overlooked which wud mostly be frown at ova at SW. Lot of tinz hapun here dat do amaze me nd will be like, dis can neva be entertain in SW (positive vibes tinz). Can't say abt in d past o, but level of security nd peace of mind I'm avin here is a topnotch compare 2 wat I did experienced back den in Lagos. As a lag breed, I enjoy it more here, except in aspect of dia weather (heat, harmattan, wind, r olwez in d extreme). Aside d weather, I love it here. Avin adventures in d local way.

The locals disregard you soo much it hurts and contrary to popular believe they cheat the bike men, wheel barrow boys, water vendors, printer guys hiked prices for people that look like me they thought i was igbo because i am just a little fair, I don't hold that against them even Yorubas think Nigeria ends with yoruba, hausa and igbo despite my brother Jonathan being president.
Back to the issue
they can't even speak come and go even in the main Kano town I was asking for directions from people who looked like they had jobs that required working knowledge of English but no way the police, the traffic wardens, even young boys would reply Ba turanchi. I had to phone my mum who spoke English and hausa to help out, I needed directions later luckily I was close to a bank I searched for non hausa looking people saw one guy attending to customers apparently hausa is a requirement to be a banker in the north and it's the same for many other professions. I was shocked.

You are right. The camp is in Dutse just opposite the barrack. However, the area is called Fanisau. Its one of the best Orientation Camp we have in the country.

It is the best. I served there in 2015 at kore village. I have a thread too.
