Hello everyone, thank you for keeping this thread alive and up-to date. Please I need help . Can HND with cgpa 2.98 (lower credit ) be accepted for masters in German schools?

No, but you can be accepted for b.sc

Hello house,

I graduated with a Hnd, Mechanical Engineering, and I also completed a one year top up program with the university of South Africa(Industrial/Mechanical Engineering). I did the top up, due to the Hnd/Bsc dichotomy. It has always been my aim to go for my masters in the U.S, but we all know how expensive it is to do so. I am considering the option of going for my masters in Germany, as it is quite cheap to do so. But then, I see lots of people on this thread with a Bsc degree traveling to Germany to attain yet another Bsc degree, and it makes no sense to me. Is it that the schools don't grant admissions for Msc studies?

I spent almost a million on the top up program I did, and it would make no sense traveling to Germany to attain yet another Bacclaurete. What are my chances of getting admitted for a masters with my Hnd and Btech(one year top up program)?

By the way, I would love to go for Energy Systems Engineering.

Brother I read most of your posts and I gained inspiration from you. You've been on this travelling thing for quite a while; from trying france to studying in the states. Oneday I will be in this position you now find yourself. I will stick to your advice, I will have WES evaluate my HND. I'm currently on an academic program, by November this year, I will commence preparations for the GRE. Hopefully 5months affords me enough time to do well in the GRE. I'd like to be your friend, that way, I get to tell you about my plans and get inputs from you.
Peace profound.
Predstan:

Your HND only qualifies you for Bsc 1st year in Germany. If you search more for information, you will be able to do your masters in the US. Just evaluate your HND with WES. Write the GRE, apply for scholarship and Assistantships and you are good to go. Another country to look at is France, since you have a top up degree, you qualify for a Masters and it's cheap. But with your Engineering degree, I'm sure you will be able to secure scholarships in the USA

You obviously got my message. I was going to have you read my previous posts on NL. It's been a long time coming but I'm here now on a full GA with my HND.

You can just send me a PM and I will share my contact with you. Even though I'm very busy rn, I will be glad to help you with enough information when I'm free

Thanks, I just bought Python on Udemy (The Complete Python Masterclass: Learn Python from Scratch) and its really wonderful. I also went through our course modules and discovered that Python/Matlab will be actively used in three courses and prior knowledge is desired to pass the courses though they will briefly introduce it for beginners. Right now, I don't wanna learn many programming language. I just wanna learn Python and be very good at it

Hi Goztino,

How are you faring with learning this course? Has it been all that it promised? Are your expectations getting met? Will you advise that i consider it too?

Normally, Yes (anywhere in the world sef) as those three technologies are the core of frontend development and backend for Javascript. However, what each potential employer is looking for might be different from one to another in terms of level of knowledge (development frameworks, software engineering principles, build system(s), testing/development approaches etc.) and/or experience (what you have used them for or where/when you have used them) as well as other possible existing varieites. So, there is a place of self evaluation before you start pushing out application.

Knowledge acquisition in IT (though at faster pace) is a continuous thing just as in other fields, but I can say you are already on the right track as the knowledge is very useful. You are doing well

U can apply but they have a long list for medicine and Ur score as well as Ur German must be very good. Wait period from Ur application is about 3 years. Some wait longer. Best u try Caribbean and TNT, those places wait period is not that long and u have better asses to the US from there.
Cheers

Sorry für the late reply, busy with work, it depends on the city but in smaller cities, it doesn't take much time as long as they verify that the sponsor fufill all requirements.

Your chances of getting working student opportunities with your skills is high. Working students really don't require practical experience but some background knowledge on the field you want to function.

As regards the language proficiency, I really can say much about Bremen and Cologne on how diverse the city are but city like Berlin and Munich have lots of opportunities for English speakers with IT skills.
