My friend opened a website recently and we finally asked the developer for the pin so we can easily upload our goods and put new prices when necessary.

We paid him off and he sent me our address with webadmin on it. Example. nairaland.com/webadmin
Sent username and password

My challenges
1. I can’t have access to the admin button. Anytime I click it, it will say : you cannot view this page
2. I can upload new products , prices but I can’t delete any one.

I don’t know much about all these like cms,wordpress,webadmin
So if you can help. Pls, speak English and no too much programming language. Thanks

He didn't give you the administrator login

You don't have all the privileges enabled for your login account

Ask your webmaster about these problems. The admin login may be wrong. Is it wordpress?

Sometimes, it's not about the client not paying in full, some developers just do this intentionally so as to be able to keep collecting money from the client yearly for hosting and domain name renewal.

I have come across developers who do this and even clients who complain of not having access to the full features of their website.

I have even read of a particular situation where a website had to close down because the developer died without giving the client the hosting and domain name details and the web hosting said there's nothing they can do about it, and that's how the client lost all the effort he put into building the website and had to restart from scratch.

So, sometimes it's just greed on the part of the developer.

I personally see no reason, if not greed, why many developers don't create hosting details for each client (using the clients details) and explain to the client how to go about renewal, instead of using their personal account to host all their clients websites and charging each client yearly for renewal.
