What is your evidence? I think in Africa, because of backwardness and lack of technological knowhow, people are used to talking without evidence.
Why is it that this conspiracy theories are being circulated mainly by Africans(all the people I've seen so far in Facebook and other social media are Africans)?
Why is that the government of the USA, UK, Russia and other developed countries of the world are not talking about it and pointing fingers to the culprits, despite huge human and material resources lost so far?
Do you and your African brothers have better Intel than those developed countries?
If it were true, do you think the US and UK, which are not too China-friendly, would be too afraid to point fingers to the Chinese government?
If it were engineered by the USA, as some of your friends may believe, do you think the Chinese government, having lost so many people and resources, would be too afraid not to have officially blamed them for it even till this moment?
I just believe Africans have a very negative mindset, and that has been one of the reasons we've not been moving technologically forward.
Get a sample of the virus, analyse it, compare its genome and other characteristics to those of the naturally occurring ones(if any), and conclusively tell us how it was engineered, and stop using this same raw brain that hasn't been able to take us out of the stone age.

I've learned this from the beginning when the news first break about coronavirus infections in China, they even said the virus can stay on the surface for more than nine days. Seriously the fatality rate of the virus isn't that scary but the rate of infection is disturbing. I currently harbour a concern that there might be recurrence of health implications in future for those who caught the virus and recovered from the flu.

Do not be surprised to see many countries where an history of medical attention has been absent do not have a major issue with this bug.

It is highly unusual that there are very few cases in African countries I'll wait till Late June for the gestation period to pass to come to that conclusion.
There are already medical research ongoing that shows the immune systems in many Africans can be much stronger due diet and less dependence on use of anti biotics and anti viral medication
